This one is shaping up as Tier 1 vs Tier 2.

Hate to say it but attack coach Chris Latham has a bit to answer for. Handed the keys to the Maserati but he can't get it out of first gear. On attack they look like they're plodding it up pod-style like it's division 3 frogball. Which I suppose makes sense since thats where they all play

Getting in early here before the game as ive practically shut down watching england v argentina.

Im genuinely worried about samoa getting to the end of this game with their full compliment of players on the field. Very excited about this game and hope it wont be a let down.

So far the game is delivering. Good pilfers from samoa. Japan look dangerous though.

Nanai-williams needs to find his kicking boots fast. Hasnt been striking them very well.

Ioane is in trouble for the shoulder off the ball......... but not sure why Peyper didn't let play continue?

Here comes a card.

And a sarcastic clap from the samoan coaching box.

Great slide into the ball then pass off the ground by Samoa.

Japan have a man advantage and theyre trying to get into a kicking battle. Cmon man. Run at them.

About 2m away from and directly in front of the ref too.

One of the more stupid things I've seen for a while from a player in a game this big

new Samoan 1st 5, got the tactical kick, got the size, and also got the step. those 3, global audience, probably just landed himself a very handy contract

How good is Matsushima. What we wouldn't give to have a bloke of his talents on our right wing at the moment.

Tim NW must drive his coaches mad, his crossroads deal seems to be every moment of brilliance comes packaged with two dumb lazy fuckups
