Rondebosch drew with Bishops, I believe the score was 19-19. Like kissing your sister sure, but those Bosch boys will be secretly happy I think. Beating Bishops at their home ground would have been the ultimate way to cap off the season but there's always next year. Good to see they've just crept into the top 20 as well.

The big @lantic Sevens Series reaches a climax on the game farm Konka in the Magaliesberg mountains this Friday and Saturday when Hoërskool Monument defend their title.

There will be strong competition from Waterkloof, Pionier and Merensky amongst others. The organiser Willem Strauss says that the competition is too hot to predict a winner.

He said: "The standard of all the teams has considerably improved and teams like Waterkloof, Tygerberg, Pionier and Merensky have stood out right through the year."

In general Strauss was impressed by the heightened skills level of the players.

Nelspruit, Middelburg and Brandwag of Benoni have qualified for the tournament for the =first time this year.

National Sevens coach Paul True will attend. He says that some of the players at this tournament could be representing South Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games' in Rio de Janeiro.

The tournament runs over two days, as do tournaments in the IRB Sevens Series. It will start on Friday evening at 17.30 with the knock-out matches starting at 15.00 on Saturday.
