They'll get a big win this weekend coming vs easts and then they will beat two blues and west harbour. it'll secure them a top 4 comfortably if not higher

Gordon v Uni in the final round might decide the final spot.

Interesting, but he has been there a while. Wonder if it was just time for a change for both the club and Batger. He has been a great servant to the game, hope this doesn’t mean he is lost to it
Hearing he has directly approached a couple of shute clubs already for 2024.

Well there is going to be a few jobs open like Gordon, Easts that have a good group already and are contenders for a premiership if you can get it right. Going to Gordon won't go down well as such a long time Woodsman but if you want to be a professional coach long term it is a good idea to get experience and exposure.

Gordon have some cavalry arriving, Rod Iona slots in at 10 for them. Also hearing theyve signed a big name backrow.

The competition is heating up nicely.

I think its between Gordon and Uni for that last finals spot. 2 blues just dont have the high end cattle that those 2 teams have, I think uni will destroy them tomorrow comfortably and head back to top 6 and then it becomes really interesting as gordon uni still to play each other and also both of them have away games to hunter.

Battlers from the west. So good to see Shute shield competitive.
Two blues woodies gf would be massive or even Hunter in it
Maybe you already know this, but the Newcastle Wildfires (as the team was then) thrashed Eastwood in the last round of the 1999 season, me and the missus were there, the game was played at Charlestown, and there was a big sign saying "Rugby - the game they play in Newcastle". The Woodies went on to win their first first grade premiership. It's great to see the Wildfires back and winning.

The Woodies did not throw it away. Well, actually we did, Ed Craig managed two successive crooked lineout throws in attacking positions. Edmed was pretty ordinary, had a fairly easy penalty after the siren which he fluffed, the Pirates threw caution to the wind and won. Deservedly.
