It was a red. Zero attempt at a proper tackle, no excuse for it, the player didn't change position quickly, he made zero attempt to lower himself for the tackle. Straight headbutt.

And I usually defend head clashes.

I'm not sure, I have those head on head tackles as some of the most dangerous so I feel they should be red almost as standard, but at the same time it doesn't feel consistent.

Much better way of arriving at the decision though (the off field referral)
