For reasons I may reveal at a later date, please provide me your 3-2-1s for the Aussie Super Rugby Player of the Year. Try to be impartial.

Cheers

Quick question... is Ardie Savea Australian by any chance?

Pretty hard exercise. Wouldn't it be better to do it for each of the franchises? then work it from those results

That would weight the top players from each franchise the same though. If that exercise was to create a shortlist then it might have value but surely the shortlist is pretty simple with relatively little room to move.

Brumbies - Ala'alatoa, Arnold, Fainga'a. You could make a case for a few other players but I don't think they are nearly as strong.

Rebels - Naisarani, Philip, Koroibete

Reds - Kerevi, daylight, McDermott, Rodda or Hegarty

Tahs - Hooper, daylight, Harry Johnson-Holmes

Interesting positioning happening here. I'm going with the obvious three as well:

3: Ala'alatoa
2: Arnold
1: Kerevi

Haha - well, I was almost going to give HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) the 1 point - partly because he had a cracker of a year and partly because I love the thought of a half crazed ginger headed prop giving it to much more fancied opposition. (But it would have been a bit rude to give points to someone from the Tahs who wasn’t Michael Hooper).

I also think Rodda’s performances were up there close to the top couple too - just not quite as spectacular as Kerevi’s efforts.

But I am nit picking really and do agree with the main point of your post.
