Gordon on verge of rugby return with eye on home World Cup
Gordon’s management has been in discussions with the Titans in recent weeks and are keen for Gordon to be released from the final year of his NRL contract.
Seems Titans are also happy to release him.The issue is, I don't know if there are many above average players still waiting for a 2026 contract. They'd have to be in discussions with someone else from another club looking to break contract.
He goes where he wants. The Reds I bet..Which Super team does he go to?
Seems Titans are also happy to release him.
I think this signing is bigger than Nawaqanitawase's. I have not followed his injury woes at all but assuming he's fit, he's our starting 10 at the RWC. I was genuinely so depressed when he left after EJ (Eddie Jones) (Eddie Jones). I'll be elated to see him return.
Surely you'd be foolish to keep an untested player who wants out and doesn't have his heart in it.Article says Titans are happy to entertain it, but they aren't desperate to release him and won't do anything to disadvantage themselves.
It's very much Carter's manager coming to them for the release, not them pushing him out.
Keep him at 10.Does Gordon solve our 10 problems or our 12 problems?
11/14 Jorgo
12 Gordon
13 Ikitau
11/14 JAS
15 Wright
That looks like a pretty great backline to me.
Doesnt solve our 10 problem though
Who kicks though? His goal kicking was a serious weaknessKeep him at 10.
10. Gordon
12. Ikitau
13. Sua'ali'i
11/14 Jorgo/Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) (Nawaqanitawase).
15. Wright
22. JO'C
23. Pietsch
Anthony Picone?Article says Titans are happy to entertain it, but they aren't desperate to release him and won't do anything to disadvantage themselves.
It's very much Carter's manager coming to them for the release, not them pushing him out. The Titans seem keen to keep him as a centre and Gordon's manager would know the real cash is playing in the halves.
Reds for sureWhich Super team does he go to?
Sualli is a world class goal kickerWho kicks though? His goal kicking was a serious weakness
Sure I'm biased but he was our starter above everyone else for RWC23 before a serious case of the yips. You have to be pretty parochial not to recognise his talents. He's younger than all the rest and possesses skills that make him unique amongst his Aussie peers. Is this Carter Gordon a better player than the one that left?
If not, he's hardly a walk up starter for the Wallabies...

His preference is to play in the halves, but sources with knowledge of the situation, talking on the condition of anonymity due to confidentiality, said that Gordon has been informed that his likely route to the NRL will be via the centres, given he is still learning the game.
