A bit hard on Moore I think. Consider the point that his leadership style has evolved a bit from telling Giteau to POQ. Before Pocock was even back on the field Moore had been taking a more consultative approach to his role. Do bag him if he gets opinion from the key people, Pocock, lineout caller ?? and Lilo. If the decision makers for specialist areas give you an opinion and you dismiss it you need a bloody good reason otherwise you will lose the respect of the team. Being first choice in your spot is only the first part of the equation.

That said I do not like Pocock getting in the ear of the referee all the time, but he isn't the only non-captain opening discussions with the referees. IMO the refs need to tell those individuals "you are not the Captain, please address your concerns through the appropriate channels."

It was the other way around wasn't it?

When I watched the replay last night there was a notable moment for the Tahs when Phipps was getting a bit chatty and Hooper can be heard very authoratively saying something like "Nick, that's the last time. No more."

Personally I think decisions on the field are easy, IF you have the right bloke as captain.

The captains work dueing the week at training and giving interviews etc is much harder.

Moore and Pociock seem to be a pair., and I recjkon it would generally five Stepjen the shits.

I suppose there is a remote possibilty that I could be wrong but

I've noticed in the NRL they are very strict on players that arent the captain talking to the refs.

Does the fact that Pocock is VC give him some leeway to chat to the ref?

Shows how good my memory is getting. :( I thought I had a few more years left in me. I suppose I can take consolation in the fact I remembered that it happened.

I agree fully, and that is good leadership, that will also gain standing with the ref. But a bit different to what was being discussed regarding Moore, not making the lone decisions.

That's what you want from your captain. One of the great things about our game is the ethos that the captain is the one who does the talking and everyone else shuts up (or should). When I watch the AFL or major soccer leagues you certainly get the impression it is there!

Think your in the minority there, most people including myself responded positively to that. Reflects poorly on Moore imo.

I remember thinking it was a low decision at the time, given that Brumbies had already won the game and didn't stand to gain anything from the taking a bonus point from the Reds. It was Schadenfreude from my point of view. But i concede i might be in the minority. I agree it was certainly not Moore's decision to make

It says 97kg was his lowest, there's absolutely no way he could be a chance of playing at 97kgs. Daley is one of the smallest props around at 112kg. He would get destroyed in a scrum, it said he's been working out so maybe he's gotten back up to 110.

Obviously Mujati isn't an international prop playing for a Tier 1 nation, but he has some very interesting things to say about playing prop at <100kgs. His channel is just a good listen all around:

Brian Mujati?? He isn't under 100

Wikipedia says 105, Ultimate Rugby says 118 and the Official Racing Metro web says 118 too:

http://www.racing-metro92.com/en/Brian__MUJATI-54-160.html

So he definitely isn't under 100. If you look his arms, definitely he isn't:

He hasn't pulled on a London Irish jersey since 2013 - and he often refers to this as by far the heaviest period of his playing career in his videos.

I may have been off by a few KGs but he talks about scrummaging in that 100-105kg range numerous times during his videos. They're a good watch if you've got some free time on your hands.

You've been around here long enough to know that Wikipedia and club websites regularly exaggerate the heights and weights of their players - as happens in most sports. Think you're doing a bit of nit-picking here, not that I haven't done the same many times in the past.

Either way, this is totally off-topic now but anyone reading this should listen to his channel if they have time. It's a great bit of insight into the life of a professional rugby player and Brian is a very interesting and well-spoken man.

I know that the websites sometimes exaggerate the numbers, then I sought information in three different sources, the 3 different sources are agree that weighs more than 100 kg, so it's very likely that he weighs more than 100, I'm not his personal trainer to ensure that weight.

This guy is really really big, my years of experience in the gym tell me that this guy easily weighs more than 100. Even 105 seems little for me.
