No real surprise.
Have really enjoyed Toni's contributions but he too became extremely frustrated by his inability to stay fit enough to stay on the park.
He's missed about half the games over the past 2 seasons.
Wish him every success with MLR.
Perhaps this announcement was delayed until Toni had somewhere to go. If that's the case then not so weird.

He played off the bench in recent games in SA. Looks like they are bringing him back slowly from his injury. The next 2 games against the Cheetahs are in Perth and I imagine he will get more time in those games.

I’ve only ever seen him in the Centres but I get it’s a way to bring them through. Mortlock got a lot of Wing time early on.
