<From ASRU website. Would appear to be saying actual schools and barbars TEAMS not named til 20 August>

Selection Process for 2018

This is somewhat different from previous years because of the UK Tour in November .

On Saturday 14th July at the Presentation Assembly after the Championships at Riverview the names of approximately 40 players will be announced. These players will be the bulk of the Australian Schoolboys and Schools Barbarians Teams to play NZ and Tonga in late September / early October.
On Monday 20th August approx 6 additional players will be named and then also who is in which of the 2 squads of 23–i.e. Australian Schoolboys and Barbarians.
After the Tests with NZ and Tonga on 6th July at Ballymore the squad of 27 players to tour the UK will be announced after lunch on Sunday 7th October.

Today’s matches

10.00 Nsw 1 v ACT
11.30 Qld 1 v CS
1.00 Qld 2 v VIC
2.30 Nsw 2 v WA

Does anyone predict other than a win to each of the first named teams above? Maybe WA a dark horse?

The live streaming kicked in.
A comfortable win to NSWI but ACT are a good team.
It's bad luck for them that they're drawn in the same Pool as an exceptionally good NSWI team.
Freeman is injured; he had his arm in a sling.

I did ask that question regarding Freeman. I did not see a incident on day 1 but I r cmon he only played 20 min. It’s what Gus Collison finished the game at openndide breakaway after starting as prop

My standouts today, Day 2. (Didn't see the last game WA v NSW 2)
In no order.

1. Driti ACT no.1
2. Angus Bell NSW 1. no.1
3. Will Harris NSW 1 no.5
4. Carter Gordon QLD 1 no.10
5. Jangala Bennet QLD 1 no.14
6. Dennis Wright QLD 1 no.13
7. Haloti Fonua VIC no.14.

8. The Vic team, a great win v QLD 2. (Good on them)

Finally, whilst being just a little one-sided here, I thought it was quite clear today that when it comes to the big stage/games, Luca Moretti today was a stand alone. Thought he was a little quiet against VIC, probably wasn't pushing it too hard, but against a real threat in ACT, from the kick off he monstered the ACT team both in-close and especially our wide.

All things being equal, I can't see anything but a NSW 1 comp win.

Another great day.

Agreed sideline. NSW1 should win this.. CS had a shocker. Nothing went right but on occasions their scrum was half a notch above Qld but it never converted to points

Results from Day 2

NSW1 41 defeated ACT 19
QLD1 29 defeated Combined States 0
Vic 23 defeated QLD2 21 (Match of the Day)
NSW2 34 defeated WA 7

Current standings in Pool A

1 NSW1
2 ACT
3 Vic
4 QLD2

Current standings in Pool B

1 QLD 1
2 NSW2
3 Combined States
4 WA

Final Pool matches on Thursday

10.00 am Vic V ACT (my pick ACT)
11.30 am WA V CS (my pick CS)
1 pm QLD1 V NSW2 (my match of the day)
2.30 pm NSW1 V QLD2 (my pick NSW1 by a lot)

NSW 1 will finish top of Pool A, QLD 1 and NSW 2 will be fighting for the top spot in Pool B. I think NSW2 have the stronger forwards with an even contest in the backs. Could be a very close game!

Agree with all of that but I would add

Luca Moretti - NSW 1
Thomas Lambert - NSW 1
Brendan Jiminez - ACT 15
Josh Flook - QLD 2

I also really like the ACT 9 - the Atkins lad
