Anyone else decided to use this lot for their rugby fix?

It ain't the smoothest app ever scene by human kind

I've been dabbling with it a bit over summer with the Cricket and my experience has been mixed. Their Apple TV app is pretty solid but I've found Chrome-casting to my main TV to be a bit flaky - still their price is good enough for me to stick with it.

I'm hoping they add App Support to Android TV/XBox (I was however able to get it to play without too much fuss via the Edge Browser).

I signed up this weekend, and have it on Apple TV. I'm really impressed so far, I like the format and the 'no spoiler' option. Great to have the replays of the US sports as well, which you can't find on Foxtel Go.

Been using it since it launched in its beta. I've had no issues with it in terms of professional sports production. It's when I've tried to watch things like the Hockey Pro League that I've encountered streaming issues when live but I suspect that's thanks to the provider more so than anything.

I've been using it on my laptop (can't use the phone app as my phone is too old). My biggest downfall is I've got an older wireless network hub, so if the missus is watching netflix, and I'm on Kayo down the back, my stream is a bit glitchy. Some days good, others not so good. So will be looking at upgrading the networking in the house!

But definitely worth it.

hmmmm I don't have a way of streaming it, so probably just stick with foxtel play on ps4 for the moment for super rugby.. we shall see..

If I want to do it I'd need to buy a Chromecast Ultra. Think I'll wait for the app for my tv.

On a side note, we got a Chromecast Ultra for Christmas and it's great.

We used to have to watch Netflix etc. through a computer via HDMI cable which was always a hassle. Now we just control it via our phones.

I've been using them for years. But we only have a chromecast 2. I can't see the point if there is an app coming unless it will work with a two. The website says it needs an ultra.

I have a fetch TV box (gift) ,I like it for a number of reasons but it controls my Netflix's as well as some pay tv stuff, I use it to record TV when needed etc.

But on the negative side it can't do Foxtel now so just use PS4 for that and it doesn't have the latest app's. I've got a pretty sweet setup for most stuff, I really am being a lazy as I have a HDMI cable directly next to my TV for my laptop. :)

Sully, I too am among the impoverished masses using a chromecast 2. It does cast to the TV but only at 720p and it takes a bit of time to buffer. I'll be upgrading next time I go near a JB HiFi.

Apple TV is a great unit. We also use it for Netflix, Prime, NFL Game Pass, iView, SBS on demand, airplaying Foxtel Go from iPad etc etc

So you get replays of Super Rugby on demand too? What commentators do you get? Anyone know about the NBA? Do you get replays of them, and most of the games? Keen to watch Super Rugby and NBA (the Sixers mainly) and dump Foxtel for something much cheaper. Watching on demand replays is the dream.

The other issue for me is that I use the streaming old Foxtel Play app on my smart TV, and the thing is not good. Their streams also tend to struggle if the TPG network is a bit loaded, which is every Friday and Saturday night.
