Big update
Sorry. I am now at Concord Emergency with a son who sustained a head knock in his game vs St. Pats.
He puts his head where others wont put their feet.
Unsure if I will get to the Newington now. Enjoy the afternoon. Updates appreciated.

A beautiful Sat afternoon at Stanmore, though they have run out of steak sandwiches- not a good start.

At HT Joeys lead 24 nil. All tries scored by some free flowing rugby down the left edge with Maffey and Jolliffe doing the damage

Thanks Jim. He is asleep at the moment. Needs to stay for observation. This is his second head knock in five years.
My wife and I agree that if he gets a third, then that is it for rugby.
I have many old rugby mates who are showing the effects now of multiple concussions.

Partial results from the Grammar v TAS clashes. TAS 16As won I think 14-10, TAS seconds lost 24-7 in the face of a better SGS team, TAS firsts won 28-14 in a very enjoyable game. TAS has a few things to fix up before beating Joeys :) Their tackling was very good slowing the fast SGS backline - TAS had a lot of practice here in the preseason! - but have a few things to fix up in the forwards in line outs and rucks. The Shore results reported earlier were interesting, holding SJC 3rds to 14-10 at half time before SJC ran ahead with 14 points to nil in the second half. Any other thirds results?
