And the FT score at Yoku .....

Anyone predict a 100 point spread ?

My apologies in advance if what I heard secondhand whilst at Shaw Rd today wasn’t correct .

Doubles is clearly not a Samu Kerevi fan - "Not worth 20 cents a taker not a giver" - Source: QLD Premier Rugby Facebook

Justifiably so after 5 (??) years registered with South with no QPR caps for the Magpies.

After last weekend's results you would have to favor a top 4 consisting of GPS, Uni, Easts & Souths.

Same as 2018.

Can Brothers secure enough wins before they get their Reds back?

Let’s be honest Kerevi followed Picone to Souths, he didn’t do it to play for their club. By the time he was at Souths he was already firmly in the Reds squad and then graduated to Wallabies. It wasn’t like he was going to be available every week.

Souths knew what they were getting into when they got into bed with Picone and his club mercenaries. Sounds like Doubles has a bit of sour grapes now that they’ve all jumped ship.

The years Samu played at GPS he was as a great club man and teammate. I think that’s evidenced by him running water on the weekend, he’s back at a club he actually wants to be involved with.

To Samu Kerevi's credit he did that at Souths too.

Yeah tend to agree with that, particularly GPS and Easts. However I thought Uni, whilst they deserved to win, got lucky with a few tries. Intercept first try (7 points), then what I thought was a clear forward pass second try (5 points), then clear shepherd 4th try (man in front of the man advancing the ball, had no opposition forming a ruck! - 7 points) and finally the last try a potential forward pass (too marginal to call). So 19 points makes the contest a little more closer than what it looks on paper.

Some real potential problems at Brothers this year; new guys finding it hard to fit in and get firing....will be interesting; but at this stage more like 2018 then last year.

I think Wests will have more potential than Souths to get to the finals (if we get there!). Think the young guys , who did a number on Brothers on the weekend, will probably get some "bash" initiation that may take the wind from there very new sails as the season progresses. Great prospects for the future (for Souths), if they all stay together.

So GPS, Easts, Wests and either Uni or Brothers (in that order) for me. Less likely Brothers than Uni.

Gee you GPS guys aren't bias at all because you always see things with a green eye and a blue eye!!

Is it ok for Picone to just drag his players from one QPR club to the next without any regard for old fashioned club loyalty?

Good luck to GPS and their transient 2020 lineup. They look good but will it be a premiership that comes at a cost (a little like Souths 2015) - the cost being that you win a premiership with a team that won't step foot in the club in 5 years from now.

Did you wake up a bit grumpy today? Maybe you should do some fact checking.

10 of the 15 guys who started in Premier Grade on the weekend have been at the club minimum of 1 season prior to this year, several of the guys are easily at 50+ games.

I've been very vocal against Picone and his crew on these forums - to my knowledge he currently has nothing to do with GPS, those guys who've joined the club did so on their own. I could be wrong there but that's my mail.

Also for whats it worth - talking about 'transient lineups' in this 2020 season is a bit rich. So many competitions around the world have been shut down due to COVID, which means there are dozens of players floating around QPR who likely won't pop up again after this year.

You don't get my subtlety but good luck to all clubs in 2020.

Really interested in Norths v Brothers this weekend.

Speaking of Norths; I was looking at the Xplorer app to see if any team lists were up yet. Norths has a team up, and Patrick Byron has been listed as Head Coach for Round 2.
Last week it was Luke Oxford. Have they given the latter the sack? Or perhaps just a typo?

Easy Phil

it just means you cannot use last years complaints now that your precious GPS have been on the poaching quest.
