There are 4 hookers and 4 locks, and a total of 44. That's a fair indication that the two O/S players are going to be locks. Pending Uelese's injury I guess.

Hanigan in the squad as a lock and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is playing lock for Reds so thats 4 by my count (Phillip + Simmons)

Wilson

David Codey (61)
I can see the problems in Naisaraini's game that would keep him out of the 23 under a new coach - runs too upright, can be a bit brain dead, but to take Swinton over him (and Dempsey) is wild.

I guess at the end of the day if you don't see them in the wallabies 23 it makes sense to take a younger guy for development into the big squad, but I'm not sure I'd be rewarding Swinton's play at this stage.

Doesn't make sense. You have a big squad to cover injuries - not to bring along the work experience kid.

I think dropping Isi is rather foolish myself.

He made a couple of good hits against the Reds in round 1 and that was about it. You could say he was solid for the rest of the season at best.

Isi being dropped just seems bizarre unless there's other things at play. He's only two years older than Swinton.

Hopefully the inclusion of Uelese, Petaia, DHP & To'omua is a good sign for all their injuries.

Do you take only two 8s in a 46 squad?

Has he picked his Australia v Australia A lists and it's Wilson v Samu?

That's what I'm assuming, hence why there seems to be 2 locks to come, or a lock and a loosie if Hanigan plays lock in the Australia A team.

Just feels odd, hard not to think if there's room for Ikitau & Swinton then he can take Naisarani. But if there's only two spots, I guess it makes sense.

I get 5 locks - still not enough for 2 x 23

Hanigan; Simmons; Hosea; Phillip; LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)
