His selection by Rennie in the starting midfield surprised me given he was caught out positionally on defense in the Super Rugby final.

Talk about a ruthless initiation to test rugby.

I fail to see any correlation between a lifelong shambles of a mungo team in a sporting landscape best resembling a desert and the best Rugby team Australia can put on the field on any given year. It's not even comparing apples with oranges. More like comparing durians with pineapples

I'm somewhat reminded of Deans's decision to take the notoriously permanently injured Pocock to the world cup as our only openside flanker. I am completely in favour of picking Petaia first, but leaving Kuridrani out altogether smacks of poor risk mitigation.

I don't mind that he's stuck to his mantra of rewarding form. No argument that TK wasn't in form. I think the clarity for the players is good.
