Don't know if the tangential benefits are so great for our players compared to free QANTAS flights. Hands off the choccies lads.

Hopefully we see Cadbury invest in the Wallabies with innovation like Stan/9 has done. I wanna see chocolate Wallabies in every 7/11, I want cross-market competitions, each individual chocolate bar across Australia can be a little billboard.

I wanna see on the Today show, Karl Stefanovic running a competition between Taniela Tupou v Pone Fa'amausili in who can eat the most Cadbury in 5 minutes.

apart from signing off a player contract which had a gaping hole allowing Israel to commit the same misdemeanour twice and we still had to pay him $5 million.
She admitted as much....

Except the CBA with the players doesn't allow for specific variations in the terms of the contract unless the player agrees.

Let's not rehash this because it was done to death a couple of years ago but I am 100% certain you'd have been up in arms if RA had effectively nixed the re-signing of the player who had won 3 out of the last 5 John Eales' Medals and was a key player for the Waratahs.

RA were between a rock and a hard place with their highest profile player having discipline issues that a significant portion of the public didn't think were an issue and also being due to be re-signed. The timing couldn't really have been worse.

Some of us have different views but that much is completely clear. The discussion is done, let's move on.

Would love to see some great Cadbury cross promotion.

Something like the old bundagberg rum ads which were fantastic would be great. I'm told they got pitched to do them again a couple of years ago but refused because they were worried about backlash... sad really. My brother is in Ad land and I hear a lot of stories about how limp the industry has become

Also RE Folau, they were just fked from the start, it's such a divisive political issue, it splits the country, there was nothing Rugby AU could have done that wouldn't have alienated a significant proportion of its fans, I'm just glad its all over and we can talk about Rugby again

Are the attendance numbers really that embarrassing?
Always difficult to address a problem when so many people are in denial......

The meeting held with all key rugby stakeholder unions and player associations to agree changes and shift to afl style commission to replace RA sounds a very promising way forward. I have to commend Hamish and his leadership as they have really been open to driving change and making some headway in a challenging environment. I have hope for a better future for oz rugby with what I am hearing.

I had seen that, sp only going to show figures from Super Au final, and Force at home games?? I actually tried to find figures to general Super Au games and they strangely hard to find. Perhaps they couldn't find anyone in Melbourne or Sydney who could take their shoes off to count the numbers at the games there this year?

Massive drop off in Melbourne. AFL (the highest attended sport in aus) down by half across the board. In previous years the rebels would get 10-12k for a blues game looked like 4-5k on the tv.

IMO its too labor intensive to casually go to a game your insanely restricted in you movement + everyone still works from home on fridays in melb. No one goes into the office. Its like a morgue in melb on a fri

They really haven’t, they have been a massive disappointment I went to every home game and the crowds were poor
I was at every match, you’re talking shit. It was essentially the same as it has been the last couple of seasons which is between 7-9k. Poor but nothing any worse than it had been in previous seasons.

Unfortunately he is correct

Tahs 5156
Reds 4960 (Saturday of a long weekend)
Force 3983
Brumbies 4755 (Sunday because of early season fixture swap)

Blues no attendance released (normally our biggest crowd)

I thought my craft beer days were behind me but Stone & Wood have signed on to be the Wallabies beer. Looks like I'll have to crack into a few for my country.

Gees I am happy with that as like Stone And Wood...have to do my bit to support the wallabies by therefore drinking more stone and wood. Irony is this sponsorship does work as Gage Road as craft beer brewers sponsor the Force and reckon drunk more Gage Road beers since that happened due to my 'positive brand' association.

That is not an official data source. It’s a site that relies on information been provided by contributors and isn’t reviewed or endorsed by anyone. Don’t get me wrong crowds are poor but I wouldn’t be reading half of what is available on the internet unless it comes from a creditable journalist or directly from a club
