I thought the kiwi commentators in intro to match interesting as looks liked trying to talk up rebels which probably smart as think about nrl and commentators trying to be more neutral for audience (media feed) for two sides fans…plus people turning off super rugby as feeling lack of respect for oz sides (oz fans) or contempt for oz sides (kiwi fans).

rebels blew it with absolutely disgraceful defensive effort. From oz rugby perpective I feel really let down by rebels by that half of rugby. Any repeats Foote is gone gone and before season end.

See, you as an Aussie might well say that but us kiwis couldn't possibly comment 'cos if we do there's people on here who start rehashing a certain NZR-commissioned report that's frankly best left in the dustbin in which it belongs.
Yeah because you would be wrong. Cutting 'em won't strengthen the other sides.

It will save us from having to watch this horrorshow, though.

I agree RN, by christ are there jokers professional? First try came from Blues obviously deciding to play at pace and cocked it up, probably second as well. seems they might be making a statement how they intend to play.
Rebels talent on paper vs performance on field underwhelmed for many past years. I am gutted as we started to see some positive press towards oz rugby and rebels screwing it up with this inspid performance.

Agreed, never agreed with promoting the TIC
New motivation: take the Crusaders place as the record holder for the most points scored in a match. Sorry Rebels. Nothing personal. Just one of many sacrifices that needs to be paid to tear down the Evil Empire.
No more to lose with rebels breaking records in negative way as super rugby as a product struggling for relevance in crowded (oz) sports
market. Unless you also want your own domestic competition for kiwi teams

Super rugby as a product ain’t going to be saved by cutting oz side (rebels) as the product design is farked…as designed by nzru (and some what RA with lesser influence) with other competing agendas then this being the best competition it can be.

Foote should have been given the boot after 3 rounds this year, still useless. Even our wins have been average and a bit lucky.

Time to poach Ellison from the Crusaders as head coach. Then get a European defense coach and a kiwi attack coach. Parling can stay for set piece only.

Stephen Perofeta will be bitterly disappointed to be pipped at the final play in his personal duel with the Rebels. gg.
