Was disappointed in a couple of the guys with super experience. Thomas was average, poor decision making and slow. Grealy was safe at the back but not offering the spark from 15... Especially for a guy with his experience. Where has his pace gone?
A couple of our backrowers worked hard. Thought Ripley was our most dangerous back with Aubrey.
The big Argie pack just minced Oz. Makes it easy when you're winning the set piece and being physical at breakdown. Think our boys were a bit shell-shocked

Not a great showing , lacked shape in attack , Kalani’s passes were pop gun at best to whoever happened to be standing near the ball. Too much ball given away cheaply with poor kicks when in attack……. But by far and away the worst performance was the ref and his interpretation of the scrums. Has he only ever reffed 7’s previously? Had no idea come scrum time. Front row repeatedly standing up and their LHP walking around the corner ……. WTF it’s a reset if both front rows come up …… the same two blokes coming up when everyone else stays down is a penalty!

Absolutely agree Nomad about the scrums and the referee. Worst performance by an official in a long time, and there have been some simply terrible performances at all levels lately.
Otherwise, No 13 (Ripley?) I thought was the only back worthy of a spot. As you say, Thomas was wayward and minutes slow in getting the ball away, Gordon terrible at game management and woeful with most of his kicking in play. Grealy looks like he should be playing U12s. His pace would be suited there too.
Our No 2 must be a whiz at scrumming, honestly. How in a beaten scrum he was able to force his opposite number to pop time after time, I don't know. Really should have had the better of the scrum penalties. The replacement THP was strong and steadied the scrum when he was on. No one else stood up at all. The No8 was particularly disappointing in both his play which was ineffectual and his decision making.
Surely we have better than those on show tonight?

A lot of impetuosity close to the line and a bit of selfishness too when the ball should have gone through the hands.
Couldn’t question the team effort, but 9 should have been replaced with 15 to go. Kicked away the rare clean ball won and service was pedestrian.
Scrum was a puzzle. Looked like we lacked weight and drive to give front row stability but who really knows?

Anyone doubting the scrum penalties is having a laugh. We got absolutely minced in that area, it was clearly a player issue because the reserve TH immediately fixed the issue.

Dunno Marce. One shite game shouldn't condemn a kid, but his strengths were overwrought by his weakness tonight. I don't have an issue with him in the Red squad with a promised future.
