That is correct, BK was class of 92 then played colts at Manly from 93 until Super League came along with an offer too good to refuse from the Raiders. The rest, as they say is history.

Agree, Complete and utter b.s. it really is funny how so many chuck muck around on this topic based on nothing at all. Here is a real true story, this past season, one school (not Joeys) featured a star player who happened to be the son of a Joeys old boy. Prior to sending his son to that other school the old boy approached Joeys with the expectation of an arrangement. To his disappointment he was handed a copy of the fee schedule and was left to pursue alternative arrangements elsewhere. Joeys makes do with the players that turn up. A lot of good and keen players turn up because it is a competitive environment and runs a solid program.

CAS schools are allowed under their association constitution to offer students with sporting talent positions at their school. This has been always the way. I recall Waverley pinching the best swimmers from Scots College when I worked there. They weren't really pinching, just exercising their right to do so.
AAGPS (which this thread is all about) does not allow schools do what CAS can do. It is against the AAGPS charter.
So when another member posted his thoughts that scouts from Barker (CAS school) would be heading off to scout players then he is correct. No harm at all as they are exercising their right to do so. I gave him a "thumbs up" as he was correct and NOT making allegations against AAGPS schools. What the CAS do is there own bee's wax.

Joker your education is correct. CAS has its own constitution as does the GPS. To all those CAS people that want to be part of the GPS it won't happen so move on.
The AAGPS exists as an association to run sporting and educational programmes for those GPS schools. They don't care what happens in the CAS and likely never will. It isn't all just about rugby and giving Barker who have only one decent team and we know why that is, an invitation into a rugby competition. The AAGPS schools attempt to produce all rounded kids and provide competition across a number of sports from rowing to soccer and debating. One of those sports is athletics and a GPS athletics carnival that dates back to 1892. Those schools are committed to these sports and as such a number of the rugby and soccer players will be participating this Saturday. Rugby season ended and the next sport rolls around.
Just because it might be nice to see Joeys play Barker or Nudgee does not mean anything because the schools move on to the next season and give kids every opportunity to represent their school in the upcoming Athletics carnival.
Good luck to all competitors this weekend. The 2022 schoolboy rugby season has ended. The CAS can boast about beating Nudgee. I can tell you no one in the GPS really cares.

Who said anyone wanted to join the GPS, completely overrating yourselves again, it just oozes, as you say, MOVE ON!
You have completely missed the point about the evolutionary ideas regards Sydney Schoolboy Rugby, so stop banging on like a teacher, we are not your pupils and do not need to be TOLD what to do.

BK played Manly Colts 93 and graded 94. He played against Eastwood in first colts against my brother (they played at Joeys together). Eastwood beat Manly in the 93 colts GF with BK starring for Manly

None played the GF I watched BK play Dave Clark, Ballesty and Dodds (all Joeys 2nd XV 92) in the trials and I know some had game time during regular season. Over 30 players played Eastwood 1st Colts in 93
