That's a big loss, hopefully we can keep him in the game. Would probably be a miles better than Grey in the U20s role, but I feel like I throw that out whenever there's an Australian coach without a job...
Yep, I get its a tough gig and family should come first, but its 9 months away from the arguable peak of international rugby. Something stinks...

I completely forgot about Eddie.... it seems perfect for him although personally I want him having nothing to do with rugby in Australia.
Larkham's been there done that and should be concentrating on the Brumbies. I can only see Gilmore from current Super Rugby assistants - plus he had a successful A campaign. Cron wouldn't be the worst idea but I doubt he'd take it up for same reason as Larkham.

Larkham may be a bit iffy though, I'm not too sure the Brumbies will be keen to cop another head coach in a job share role with all the disruption they've had at that level. I'd expect Larkham might be keen to focus on that role as well.
Jim McKay is easily the most experienced (and probably the best) of the assistants in the role, but given he wasn't involved with the Australia A program it looks unlikely they'd take him first up. Gilmore and Seib are the obvious choices from that setup which does leave Gilmore the most likely. Not a hugely inspiring choice but could be ok.
can't say QLD's attack has been outstanding though.

It was pretty good for the first half of last season when everyone was fit, and I thought it still went quite well in the 2nd half, with a very good strike rate in opposition 22's. It was lineout/discipline holding it back. He does have an excellent working relationship with Quade, which could be an asset if he's going to be playing 10.can't say QLD's attack has been outstanding though.

The reality is it there probably isn't enough time for a new candidate to come in and bring anything particularly special or different to the role though, so Gilmore makes the most sense as having been embedded in the Wallabies systems as part of the Aus A program.

Best candidate is Peter Hewat, he's coaching the Black Rams, Japan Top League finishes in April, plenty of time to join Wallabies.
