Forum meltdown imminent.

Luckily Jones is too old to know anything about forums or social media and see all the negative comments. Someone send him a fax.

On the plus side, it’s getting people talking about rugby :)

Fuck me... Jessica Halloran was right.

At least, her conclusion... not her reasoning.

I assume McLennan and co have been negotiating this deal in the background since Eddie was sacked.

Apparently even before. Since the England series in Aus.

I hope Eddie is being paid peanuts by Aus as he's still on his good wicket from the RFU and this is all a passion project.

Tom Decent gone with it as well
"Eddie instinctively understands the Australian way of playing Rugby".

Eddie Jones is the anti-christ of this type of Rugby though. Nothing but strict adherence to a game plan and set moves.

The only good thing about Eddie being brought in is, he knows how to plan and prepare. So hopefully that'll mean getting the back took staff ie S&C sorted.

Not according to the report I read this morning. His big winning period was with Borthwick and after he was gone his results went off. There is detail and detail that changes things, not sure Eddie knows which is which. He certainly didn't in his last time in Australia.
Wonder how Quade will deal with him?

RUGBY AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES CHANGE TO WALLABIES HEAD COACH POSITION
16 JANUARY 2023
Rugby Australia has signed Eddie Jones to be the Head Coach of the Wallabies, as well as overseeing the Wallaroos, on a long-term deal until 2027.

Jones previously coached the Wallabies from 2001 to 2005, including taking the team to the Rugby World Cup Final in Sydney in 2003.

He recently concluded his tenure as the Head Coach of England, where he has the highest winning ratio of any coach to lead that nation at 73 per cent.

In addition to his role with the Wallabies, and in a world-first, Jones will also oversee the Wallaroos program as Rugby Australia pushes forward towards a professional future for the Women’s XVs game.

Jones will start with Rugby Australia on 29 January.

After three seasons as the Head Coach of the Wallabies, Dave Rennie will depart the position.

Rennie has coached Australia since 2020, and has achieved some notable victories with the Wallabies, including series victories against France and South Africa in 2021.

Rugby Australia thanks him for his service to the Wallabies and for the positive steps that have been taken under his watch, and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

There are more rugby supporters than you make out - particularly the Wallabies.

It's just Super Rugby that is particularly unpopular.
I lived in NSW, mate. I know how it is. Believe me.

There are also many League supporters who would support the Wallabies in a heartbeat if they were a succesfull team
