And in all likelihood you'd expect that game to be played again in Term 3Barker's trial game opponents are Oakhill.. Oakhill are always strong,
Was Gordon 4ths, some of them really hungover.Barker scored 13 tries to 2 over a Gordon colts side.
Was extremely odd that Barker played a 4th grade colts team. Not much to be achieved. Was Gordon 4ths, some of them really hungover.
what stannies team is knox 2nds playing againstKnox 2nds playing Stannies and Canberra Marist this Saturday. Should be a good guide as to depth in the opens program.
Will be an interesting game. Cranbrook 1st XV has lost many key players, so there are some major gaps to fill. However, the schools 16A's last year seemed quite strong (apart from various injuries) so I wouldn't be surprised if we see some young faces on Friday. Im also sure some lads from the 2nd XV will be promoted to the 1sts as usual. I would predict Cranbrook to win, but also I am not extremely familiar with Trinity's team.Hello, I am new here and have coached jr rugby at randwick and watched a fair bit of schoolboy footy. Hoping to find somewhere to chat about games in this upcoming season.
onto more serious matters, whats everyones predictions for the clash between cranbrook and trinity this weekend? (a score prediction would be even better)

Wouldn't call it weak. There is a lot of size in the team, especially in their forward pack. Combined with some skill throughout their starting XV and they would be looking good for the season in my opinion.Pretty weak...
Sh!t; thoughts with JAC after last years bad injury in the CAS trialsSo a few seconds before half time in Cranbrook v Trinity, Trinity 5 hit Cranbrook 2 Johann Ah Colt with a high no-arms tackle. I didn't have a very clear view, but the referee awarded a red card and that seemed right. The trouble is that Ah Colt stayed down. There are fears of a serious injury. As he couldn't be moved, the game was called off at that point.
Let's just hope he's OK.
Nothing else on the night really matters, but for completeness: Trinity led 26-5 at that point, four tries to one. Their lineout looks better than a Trinity lineout has for years. Cranbrook had the better of the scrums, I thought. Trinity was marginally better at the breakdown. Cranbrook looked rusty and fumbled the ball a lot. Cranbrook 3 Levi Funa was a handful and made yards every time he got the ball.
No program, and I don't know many names. Cranbrook 13 Taj Aufai is a massive specimen, but didn't ever get the ball with space to move.
As for Trinity: they have pace. The strategy was basically to get the ball to the wingers and watch them run round everyone. Cranbrook were burned on the outside time after time - it was 26-0 after about 20 minutes. Not sure who the 11 and 14 were, but they are rapid.
Trinity won the 16As by a lot and won 2nds 12-10, with Cranbrook missing a conversion after the bell that would have tied things up.
Anyway. A big crowd at Woollahra started to leave as the ambulance started to arrive. Not the way anyone wants the night to end and let's hope the injury is not too serious.
