Queensland Reds 2025

Must be hard for the bloke but surely that is all she wrote.

Does anyone know what he's been doing in the down time during injuries? Hopefully he has been studying or working towards another career.

He's such a built dude I almost feel he needs to be told to bin a good chunk of gym time for a while and get working with some running coaches and just get the body moving. He's so highly tuned it's easy to break down.

It's hard to see who throws him a bone but it may mean the Reds hold onto him because nobody else is going to take it on. Train and trial him and see if he gets through pre season?? Reds get a deal with an MLR side and send him over...

Yeah, it would be very close to calling it quits, at least for the Reds. Feels like he has been injured like 3 seasons in a row.

I mean you'd hope after so many seasons of injuries, the support team have already identified what has to happen for him and worked on that. He's been on a full time Reds contract for a while so would have access to all of their doctors, physios etc.

Matt Brice was on the bench (unused) against the Force. Beyond that I expect they'll look to the under 20s as they return. I imagine they might also be talking to Glen Vaihu as cover.

shit outcome but I’m weirdly positive about it, I’m glad he’s taken this decision at 21, one shudders at what would’ve happened in the past. Good luck Mason with your future endeavours.
Yep, Absolutely the right call.

Only get one and they can't replace or reconstruct it. I believe some people are for lack of a better term 'allergic' to head knocks. Can have one and it's all she wrote or be more susceptible to them.

Nah I have no clue, more commentary on the on the 100ft wall the Reds put up to stop information about player availability getting out.
Turns out you were right twice, Lynagh is out due to last week's concussion, and the Reds doing their usual best to make sure fans have no idea what is going on

Reds announcement does have (a bit) more detail this time:

Head contact processes for Lynagh, "shoulder knock" for Salakaia-Loto, "knee" for Uru. No timelines but Lynagh and Salakia-Loto sound like just the week, Christy had a few weeks for Uru on the espn podcast I think.
