If anyone still believes that the Makasini rumours are false, you are gravely mistaken. My understanding is that he may bench 1st XV afterwards but It has been confirmed by News director of rugby that he will have to play 2nds this week in order to get his spot back.

Anyone have the Scots 1st and 2nds team lists for the weekend?
1st XV
1. Rocco Rossi
2.Aaryan Pandit
3.Ontoni Large
4.Ben Wright
5.Phil Barlow
6.Cuan Stambolie
7.Ashton Large
8.Phil Cooney
9.Heinz Lemoto
10. Nate Browning
11. Sim Noah
12. Shedrach Kalis
13. Tom Dennis
14. Harry Harrington
15. Harry Capell
16.Lucas Large
17.Thomas Pitt

Currently as it stands the predicted lineup according to my Scots sources. A gun front row packing some size ready for shore this weekend. As for the backs, superstar Harry Capell ready to put his electric play and agility to use against Shore.

Great to see Heinz playing half back.

If true and Newington 1st XV lose, it's an expensive mistake. Just to deliver a message to the school about being Committed.
I agree with this. The kid has chosen a path that he feels is best for him, and that shouldn't take away from the fact that he's a brilliant player and should be playing 1st XV. You should always field your strongest possible team.

Browning at 10 is a force to be reckoned with

Lemoto is even more versatile than I thought

Not sure kids should be picking and choosing when they play unless legitimately injured (of course assuming this rumour is true). If he is fit, he should play if selected - not opt out, and then expect to waltz back in the following week. Still have no visibility of whether it is actually true other than being able to confirm he was on the sideline in blazer last Saturday and didn't appear to be carrying an injury of any substance.

I don't have the info on that right now, although I heard a few rumours from a couple of Scots boys who came up to me on the hill last week that they were returning. If they are set to return, this could spice up the game on the weekend with a couple of movements within the Scots team as well. Does anyone know if they are going to return this week? I thought Bassingthwaite was out for a while.

EBRO signing Out
Pretty sure Bassingthwaite is still out for a couple more weeks at least.

I heard that he is trying to come back last round this term. Personally, i don’t see the point in that risking one game when he can get valuable recovery time during the break.
Well said.

Also depends on how Shore is going. If it is a must win game, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bassingthwaite back in the No.10 before the end of the term.
