Can't believe he is only in year 10. Some talent. The 9 and 10 in Joeys 2ndXV also excellent. Also like the 13 for Joeys 1st XV. He looks the goods.

The Controversial Penalty: A frame by frame analysis
In this presentation I will conduct a frame by frame analysis of the recent controversial advantage which resulted in the defeat of SHORE at full time. I will refer to three claims as a part of this investigation:
Claim A: A shore player intefered with the ball, impairing the placement/ability for the Scots' 9 to continue play
Claim B: Shore players were offside, resulting in the advantage call
Claim C: A shore player came in through the side during the clear out.
The Analysis
The Verdict
It is very tough for me, as a biased SHORE supporter, to make a call. I can find no infringement of the rules in my perusal of the footage, and all 3 of the major Claims I saw on G&GR appear to be unsubstantiated. I will leave it up to the reader to decide their opinion, but I find it very hard to believe that in the brief moments where the camera was obstructed by players/the ref an infringement was made - though it is possible.
If you believe I have made an error in this brief analysis, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will amend my post if necessary.
In terms of the three claims I presented at the beginning, the following is my verdict on those:
Claim A: Very likely false (due to the quality of the footage, and the blockages of view, I cannot debunk this claim entirely)
Claim B: Definitively False
Claim C: Definitively False

Yes. Appears all the chat pre game was nonsense. He did a few nice things but there were many other New boys who were better. Great win for the team.

I’m glad New are doing something about this. Great to see not for Newington, but the rest of the gps aswell. Would love to see some more competitive New games in juniors

I Fully agree with this, but also point out that its completely unfair to the schools that dont. Its easy to see it on the depth. Hats off to New, They were just in front most of the game. A lot of things did not go right for joeys today, but, you make your own luck too. New were enormous.

Indeed. This should not be tolerated at all by the school, most GPS schools would be giving a suspension from rugby and school for at least a week.
On a completely unrelated note, haven't seen a post with a pie review from Joker. What's going on? Starting a diet perchance?

Ref calls can’t be changed, let’s all just be happy it’s a double round comp now and a loss or two doesn’t completely ruin a teams season.
The last DOR killed things. It will take time to unpack. But in Ben Herring, we finally have a decent DOR. Going to not happen overnight but with him leading I'm confident it will get better.

Actually all of New were big units. Amazing how they were only in the first xv. Someone needs to have a word to their pommy coach too. His attack on the ref when things did not go his way was disgraceful. He needs to set the example not be the example. Joeys played like lions today and there was not much in this. The Side that lost today at the hill would have felt that they could have / should have won it.

Agreed, 2nd XV halves were superb while 1st XV halves were a little ponderous and outplayed by their Newington counterparts.

How do you seriously go to this effort when the advantage call starts at 72:30 for a not rolling. Ref's arm raise simply reminding of advantage, a minute long advantage is not cries for anarchy. Enjoy the rugby.

12 of the Newington first 15 who beat Joeys today came to the school in year 7 or 8.
Before making a claim please make sure its correct first

I disagree mate. I was sitting close by to where this incident occurred and I saw the whole thing. Grubby move from the Scots boy and multiple punches were thrown.
