besides what is going on at the moment

do we think kings are a threat to the title this year ? they don't seem as aggressive as they have been in previous years.....
I personally dont think they have a chance as they lost this week to view 46-26. I personally think the Newington team has the best chance.

I have seen much negativity in this forum regarding schoolboys, mind you most of these complainers are level one and I would put my money on the fact that these are the schoolboys taking the mick.
For sure Milly completely agree. At the end of the day it really displays the little integrity of the schoolboy culture nowdays!!! Back when I used to play in '81 was a whole lot different!!!

Scrum on!

Rog out

I am not one to ever say this, but I think there is too much and it's hard to come back from.

The forum needs a break @Joker .

Its unfortunate but it is what needs to be done. There is no respect and it is going both ways.

I am going to name drop so people know what not to do.

@GumnutGrinder99 @Mule Backup @boldbastard @123 squeeze!!! @Milly Maroje
I completely agree; I have gone too far myself. I do believe we need a small suspension and for these schoolboys to be banned.

Suspect unfortunately we are sailing very close to having the whole Schoolboys section closed.
Remember this is not the main part of the G&G site, the Mods are volunteers, and to be honest, don't have the time to be dealing with all this crap.

That said I don't think the forum does itself wonders in terms of setting the boundaries for new (or returning) posters.
Pinned forum rules might help.

Specifically this year the number of AI generated posts, both pictures and word salad, in both the GPS and CAS threads, has been crazy. And personal attacks and flame wars to go with.

I seriously worry about this generation. They don't appear to be able to come up with sensible expression without jamming a few keywords into an AI machine.

I wouldn‘t write Kings off just yet. The style of Rugby they played last weekend was
IIke the White was in knee deep mud. Never was never will be. All opens down to 16A’s played with a similar game plan resulting in some deserved losses. One thing we can agree on it’s going to be a super tight season!

Howdy chaps...a Joeys old boy through and through here. @fuber watched the game and thought your newington boys simply outclassed Joeys all day. Is this the downfall of my beloved Joeys side after so many years of glory?? Not sure how good the youth is going at the moment..

Signing off, the Scrum Champion,

Hey everyone, class of 05' Newo boy here, not sure if anyone remembers Lachie Turner, but shared a bev (or 10) last week reflecting on the glory days, heard the boys look strong this year, who are the ones to watch, especially after putting Joey's to the sword last week.

Fuber, shame our paths never crossed.

Whilst there is little sustenance in respect to "football" in your message, yes the Newington boys do look strong this year. It seems that against all odds they have become the team to beat. My only concern for the Newington boys is how they face up against Shore this coming week.

With some possible outs and playing a near-strength Shore side, how will they fair?

Faithfully,
Phillip R. LeCouter - 10th Headmaster of Newington College

Yeah this is just crazy.

Look under strenuous conversations from passionate fans influenced by poor results there's talk of a ban. This is ridiculous quite frankly. This forum is made to appreciate the young men doing great things in the rugby, not fight about crowds, put down schools for giving young men fantastic opportunities and cast blame to other people. We need to stop the targeted attacks and refocus our energy to the correct areas and that comes in appreciating the young talented rugby players in our respective programs.

Hey mate,
It will be interesting to see how the Newo boys show up on the weekend, some key outs indeed but a good chance to blood in some youth from the 2s and 16As. As for shore, even though they won last year they seem to be pretty week this year but you can never count the boys from Northbridge out.

Hopefully should be a good game played in the right spirit and may the best team win!!

Let's hope we don't face the reality of the schoolboy section being closed however, I very much agree with pinned forum rules, it would make the thread better for everyone.
