QLD GPS 2025

Inside Scoop from the GT boys is that the sexies (2nd XV) are the most dominate set piece team at terrace. There Scrummaging is led by veteran and 1XI leg spinner Harry Jackson who can play all three positions in the front row. The airspace (lineout) is super-crisp (like the beers) according to all reports with the likes of Joe Grice and Lachie Cooper leading the tight five at lineout time.
I am glad to be back on the forum and I made my way down to Bulimba riverside on the weekend and caught the last half of the seconds and the rest of the first for Gt.
I'll have to agree with you there QTT, Jacko has got the ball on a string, some very good throwing from the seconds incumbent.

would love to see Clifton get a run on for one of these trials. Also, could someone tell me if Dennis is starting this weekend and at what position. Especially, after such an incredible game last weekend.

Given the same old problems in the GT firsts lineouts in Saturday, could they look at Jacko as part of the solution?

Not sure mate, would love to see Dennis get a run at 9 and possibly hales at 10.

Could move clifford back to 13 or possibly even fullback. I think Dennis is just such a game breaker that you need to fit him into your starting this weekend.

I watched the Terrace 16a's game last year against BSHS and I must agree I think Clifton is a very good player. With all the issues surrounding GT's lineout over the last few years could he be the answer?

Thought I might say to all the Queenslanders on the forum, tough night last night. Sad that Ashley Klein had to make it about himself again with some very questionable calls throughout the whole night. Shout out to Rob Toia from Nudgee who held his own out in the centers, thought he had a great debut game with the conditions the QLD were faced with. Any suggested changes for game 2?

Thought this was a union forum if you want to talk about league and Nudgee college NRL icons you can go to a NRL forum. Oh wait, there is no such thing. No wonder our game is failing, because there are people like you that try to bring us down to a level where passion for union gets diluted by off-topic chatter. If you cared as much about growing the code as you do about name-dropping league schools, you'd know this forum is for backing the game we love—not derailing it.

I've seen posts of the teams of TGS & TSS running out this weekend. Anyone have any news on anyone else. I've heard squad news on other teams such as NC and BBC but not much else on the rest apart from one or two names thrown up. So does anyone know what a full team from the others schools might look like this year??

Hey mate just to touch on that possibility of Dennis 9 and Hales 10. That is a great take, however personally, I would love to see Dennis run at 9 and control the game as it should be played, keep Clifford at 10 because of his pure leadership and role model type gameplay, and that would push Hales to the wing. Not only would this see Hales excel with a bit of extra space, but would also utilise his kicking and footwork skills that I am sure he has been working on this off season. Thanks

Hey there mate,

GT's team for TGS trial this Saturday: 3:15 Kickoff at Tennyson

1. Jeremiah Harbottle
2. Charles Hollyman
3. Nick Weir
4. William Devine
5. Rupert McGrath
6. Hugo Hawke
7. Archie Illott
8. Oliver Nasser (C)
9. George Hales
10. Connor Clifford
11. Ryder Kireka (Debut)
12. Frank Iraguha
13. Ioane Feanuti
14. Aiden Moyes
15. William Dennis

Really excited to see Dennis play this week. Kid is an absolute freak. Showed brilliant composure and ability to escape defenders in his short 15 minute stint off the bench last week.
Also unfortunate news out of GT's camp, Roman Maeva (brother of Princeton from Nudgee) suffered what looks like a serious knee injury in training. Poor kid was just coming back from surgery on his right knee, and has now hurt his left knee and has been sent for scans today. Hopefully good news, but looks unlikely.

However, this news opens the door for Nicholas 'The Nightmare' Weir. He has the best trigger in all of GPS football, effortlessly finding his flyhalf out the back of pod shapes. He is a threat in attack with his kicking game as a prop. They say he is a flyhalf stuck in a prop's body. On Tennyson's open day this saturday, it will be a spectacle to see this young fella go head to head with 140kg, 6 foot 4 beast James from NZ. Could need a couple ambulances on sight for the terrace front rowers and their underdeveloped necks and frontal lobes.

I love talking about the brains of a team, which GPS backline is shaping up to be the most stacked??
I think TGS have a very strong backline this year, Sam Elms at 9, who gives quick service and is arguably the best defender in that TGS side. Cooper Brown at 10, electric with footy in hand and coming off a stellar 16A’s season. On the wings Adam Davis and Isiah Wuruki, AD has proven himself already as arguably the best winger in the comp last year and Isiah a debutant with quick feet and reliable in defence. In the centres the Bulldogs own, Luke Burrow at 12, he’s not the biggest player on the field but he’s got heart and he’ll put his body on the line, against BBC alone he chopped Tai Taka twice causing him to knock the footy on. At 13 the new fella Petelo Maka, who troubled BBC and has a great balance of size and speed. And at 15, Myles Rosemond, signed by the cowboys for good reason. You can’t predict his movements and when he gets going he’s practically unstoppable, he’ll be one to keep your eyes on this year. If the TGS backline can gel together well and complement each others strengths, the 150 dream might just come true.

Is Tusi playing 8?

And no Jack Brown?
