Gentlemen, I am esteemed at the reopening of this forum and see good chat since, moving to this Thursday, Does anyone know. for all schools what the go is with suporters. I believe the Kings boys may potentially being bussed for the 2pm 2nd XV kickoff at Stanmore, and potentially the New Boys not let out until 3:20. What about the other schools and or clarity of Kings/New.

Regards Scrummie

Morning Scrummie. The Shore boys will be let out early at 2:30 to get to the bridge and from what I have heard there will be a fair number of View boys in the senior years making the trip over however the young ones are being kept in the swamp till the 3:30 knockoff bell, I am sure streamer will cop a fair amount of traffic from schoolboys in class trying to watch. Would also love to hear what is happening in regards to the other schools.

Not sure if this is true. End time is 2:50, I believe students are being let out then and then bused straight to Northbridge.

Year 12s with free period 6s will be heading down early as well.

I hear ALEX WILDE may be making a return to Rugby mid season. The head coach has asked him to come back as he has footwork that the backline is potentially missing. Watch this space. He may start in the 2's and given time to work his way up. Cracking kid and does have a hard work ethic. PS the reason he quit was to focus on his studies as he has struggled with school throughout the years. He will be playing in number 15 this week for the 2nd XV.

Anyone have a Scots teamlist? Will be treking up the hill and I am rather unfamiliar with the team. If the team for this week isn't out, does anyone have a predicted XV?

Yep, this is what I'm hearing. Let me know if my sources are wrong.

The question on the tip of everyone’s tongue. Who is more influential to their team: Grover to View or Galligan to Shore?
Grover is the leader of the team and all the team does comes off his back whereas Galligans physical presence, lineout dominance and leadership carried the Shore team forward.

Any thoughts?

Anyone have a list of 3rd XV results from Saturday? What happened to the guy that used to give match reports for each game.

TAS fella. Sadly he died a coupla months ago.

UPDATE: I was thinking of Paddy Flower, a true TAS stalwart who sadly left us recently. The bloke who follows the Thirds is another TAS OB, Jim Belshaw, and I understand he's alive and well. My apologies.

I know it was mentioned before on the forum (Sorry can't find the post) but is Callum Grantham the best schoolboy conversion kicker we've ever seen. I saw some stats and Grantham was leading the goal-kicking by a long margin. When was the last time he missed? This skill is so important for any rugby team and with Grantham kicking like this I wouldn't surprised if his conversions are the difference between Newington winning or losing a game. @Joker, I'm sure you've seen some excellent schoolboy goal kickers in your time. Any that could compete with Grantham ?

He missed goals against Joeys and Shore the last two weeks. But he is an exceptional kicker. It seems though, rather sadly, that will be showcasing that for the other code unfortunately once school commitments end.

Sports training for New kids has been called off on Thursday afternoon. Not sure if they have made it compulsory but there is a strong push to get boys to stay and watch the 1st XV. They are also putting on a thing for year 7 and 8 parents to get them to attend. All part of building the rugby culture in the younger years and getting parents and boys more engaged with our great game. I will be there with some mates - should be a cracking game - with some appropriate hydration pre and post-match of course.

This is false information about Shore. There has been no information pushed out to the community of an early finish. Buses will leave Shore at 2:50, though I imagine year 12s with free periods might create a small crowd for the 2nd XV.

I just checked their instagram account and there was a few posts about it getting postponed and something around their being to many injuries. Unfortunate for all the boys if they can't form a team. It's been a tradition for a while now.

anyone know when the glorious king Heamasi Makasini is set to return. In my opinion his the best player in the GPS but the new boys have shown some extreme depth and skill to get over their opposition without him.
