Can't defend the others but TT was always going to be picked. This is a wide first squad. Zane getting somewhat dished up early by Williams v the Saders probably also helped TTs cause. I've been high on Zane but it was one way traffic.

It seems like he's fine. They're posting as if he's ready to go.

Wonder if they would like him to get a run in grade as he's been out a while and any other niggles would have worked themselves out. Get the confidence in the ankle before any potential Test matches.

I appreciate he was going to be picked, but he doesn't deserve it, too fat, taking too many short cuts, giving away penalties for laziness

Maybe to see if the national coaching team think they can get something more out of them! Theoretically they have upside. Only Tupou is sort of likely to be in the frame, but he would need a massive improvement in everything at this point.

The lack of scrummaging Tight head prop development in this country has been bad for a long time. Not helped by the best one they did develop in Lomax leaving to NZ
It's slowly improving in the pathways though. De Luttis will definitely get there. Goddard looks to have natural ability. Hopa Leota has the perfect build for a THP doing his thing over in France. Hasani Bloomfield (reportedly gone to France) he's in the Tupou mold. All the U20 props we've rolled out this year look pretty good.
Losing Ainsely and Lomas did hurt.

Hopefully. Age grades are one thing but the jump is real so hope some of them can develop

Huge jump.
I'd say we're in a pretty good spot at THP. We just need TT and 7a's for a couple of years yet while Nonngorr continues to develop. Those others could go past him which would still be a good sign for Australian rugby.
Hopefully we get those kids back from France somehow.

I was actually wondering the other day which player is the most important in Australian rugby atm and I honestly think it might be AAA. Most other positions there's some decent options, but the drop off from AAA to the other options is looking pretty dire.

Tevita Alatini when fit is not far behind De Lucia's and better than the others mentioned, ie more advanced than current U20s. Expect to see a fair bit of him in the next couple of years.

Nonggorr got overrun by Tamati Williams while one week earlier Rhys Van Nek held his own against the man mountain. Won't surprise me to see him as a bolter in the squad.
