not a fan of AB's selecting Tavatavanawai. He's a born and bred Fijian, not a NZer ffs.

Him and Grannygruds Aumua should still be playing for MP (Moana Pasifika), wasnt that the original intent of including MP (Moana Pasifika) in the first place?, not to whisk them off to NZ franchises as soon as they start playing too well then biff them under the AB's cap 'n scrap combine harvester.

Apparently Newell played last night with a Grade-2 MCL injury which has to put him in doubt for France series. Assuming Lomax is first-pick & they stick with Tosi that would seem to make Dyer next cab off the rank unless Williams swaps sides.

Typical self-centred Cantabs greedily putting themselves before the good of the nation by making him play two consecutive full 80 minute matches smh.

For shame.

Loose Forwards
Luke Jacobson (27 / Chiefs / Waikato / 21) #1 Tha Most Hated Hoskins

Outside backs
Mark Tele’a (27 / Blues / North Harbour/ 11)

Sounds like these two are going to be busy playing the Lions:
Les Kiss is going to have some firepower for the AusNZ Invitational team against the Lions in Adelaide. The Herald was told by NZ Rugby this week that up to half-a-dozen players are going to be released to join Kiss and Ian Foster, consisting of players who don’t make the All Blacks squad that will be announced on Monday or the Māori All Blacks squad to be unveiled on Tuesday. The Herald believes Blues No 8 Hoskins Sotutu and winger Mark Tele’a are very good chances, and will be joined by players of similar calibre. None will have the Mo’unga stardust, but they’ll all be coming off good Super seasons and they’ll all have a point to prove.

Defcon Dismal Ab Squad Aggregator.
Josh Beehre
Narawa
AJ Lam
Dalton Papali’i

Tha Most Hated Hoskins

If 1 of these names is missing we're at Defcon5.

If 2 are missing we're at Defcon 4.

And so on thru to all 5 players missing from AB squad, we're Defcon1 and it's.....

Reckon you'll reach at least DEFCON 3. There's at least two comically named Cantab locks to select ahead of Beehre. Dave isn't dead yet, so out goes Lam. And Sotutu didn't make it last year so definitely wont this year. His performance in the semifinal generally didn't help either.

But I'll absolutely be Français posting if monseigneur Dalton is overlooked.

There has been a bit of talk that they were having a bit of a late decision re Sotutu or Lio-Willie just a couple of weeks back. If that true you would guess Lio-Willie would get it the way he has gone in final series. Though some bloody good loosies are going to miss out, and I not sure if Ardie is now being looked at as a 7, which may hurt Dalton's chances, as I think Lakai must be looked at as 8/7, and Dalton's best chance would be a 6/7 type?
