Yeah seeing a pattern here unfortunately. Maybe he should give league a go.

well lucky he’s signed overseas to France rugby union powerhouse.

Shame he won’t be selected for Aus 18s this year we would have an amazing chance with him in the side. Hopefully rugby au does pick him….

I think he got that bad tackling technique from league? It is in his best interest that he works on his tackling technique. No team would like playing with 14 men only for 10 minutes and with proper referee possibly 14 men for remainder of game. (He can definitely tackle, because he whacked Kings #1 in round 1 - check out the reel in Tom gavs instagram). I am beginning to think that perhaps he hits high out of frustrations perhaps? He's angry? Who knows. But yes, I agree that he needs to work on this tackling techniques.

He already played Aus 18 last year and they won. I can't think of anyone else who can ball carry like him. Hopefully he will play again because he is definitely needed!

He can definitely tackle and I don't think he's got an issue with his technique. People also have to consider that he is around 6'4, which makes it harder to get low in split seconds moments. I haven't seen many schoolboys launch themselves with such power at opponents. Honestly scary to watch.

Agree. He uses his size bloody well to put some big shots on. But with his height, the ref doesn’t care, neither does the guy he knocks out, his technique has to compensate.

Good points Cleaner. Although I was having a laugh about his high tackles like league tackles, has he played much junior league? HM’s etc? Obviously he has stayed in the union code with keen interest in France.

Also, something surprisingly common with outstanding players in early grades(seen in some interviews), is they get confident & comfortable in the game. Maybe he is in a way forgetting to put the effort into tackles in some of these instances, just being careless because of how comfortable & relaxed he is finding himself. Just a thought.

He played SG Ball Panthers Last year or earlier this year im pretty sure but he was brought up through league and played with panthers HM as a 15 year old and also was a weapon for the u16s and u18s city side in the cabe city vs country game

that is a technique issue then…. seriously. i think the AAGPS needs to develop a proper judiciary system. this will quickly become an insurance and fiduciary issue, particularly if the Roosters are allowed to continue damaging the integrity of the competition enabled by Scots.

Its actually a bloody shame that Will Taylor now has to sit out GPS.

yep, killed it last year.

if rugby au had the hopes of winning a World Cup they would pick him in 18s again. We let players like skelton play for France clubs then the wallabies we should be letting this young lad aswell.

if we see him in a French jersey I might just start supporting them. Imagine in 10 years time the back row of Fonua, Heinz and justice.
