odd game, for the first part we actually looked solid but by the end of the second half the flood gates opened.

to make matters worse I think Fakafunu will be out for the tournament due to injury.

I am looking forward to the battle in Gold Coast. There are 2 players that I want to see face off, QLD Taione Taka and NSW Creighton Meafou in the midfield. I'm hoping Taka will be playing but I wouldn't be surprised if he is straight to the PONI because he was ridiculously good in 2024 U16 Super rugby, 2024 Australian U16 and also 2025 REDs U18 this year.

I fear that I would be of little use. While I'm in growing rebellion about metro dominance I struggle to understand pathways let alone access info on individual players. And then there are the girls! And the relationship with club rugby. To try to illustrate the complexity tas struggles to get games. Over the last three months, tas played games in Northwest rugby, new england rugby and ncis plus school visits and carnivals. In the Sydney Junior opens tas had 2 gps. Thirds, 1 country under 18 1 aices. In the later under 16s there was 1 gps, 3 aices. Even with all the school's work the thirds barely got a game. You can see why I find it all complicated!

Im sure the combined power of @Joker and @The Chairman would create a world-beating side.

Has anyone seen any team list from the other states? Keen to see who is representing the other states. Should this be discussed here or need to be in another thread?

Yes the girls programs are screwed. None of the Sydney schools will travel to Orange so for reciprocal games Kinross is now looking to Canberra. Pretty poor form.
Touch is pretty strong though. Seasons of netball and other popular sports that a lot of girls have grown up with collide with rugby seasons as well.

To keep it relevant to the GPS as well as addressing a question of mine, how do we think the girls are going to affect the depth of Newington’s rugby teams? Even 1s, 2s, 3s? Already with a limited number of open teams, less numbers may cause disruption in lower comps, like @Joker ’s beloved socials competition.

Is it really going to do all that much? Are the student numbers increasing due to girls enrolling or are they staying the same which would mean less boys. If it's the later then it will have an effect across all sports but if it's increasing I expect no change and potentially extra resources since a lot of girls play touch and the growth of the NRL and Super Rugby W has more teams than ever in Rugby.

Barker is the case study. I'm fairly sure Barker Rugby Club in Subbies has a Womens team these days as well.
