Rugby Championship 2025 : South Africa v Australia Round 2

And both their starting wingers are out too. Not the worst injuries for them because their backrow and wings were where we had them, so some new blood might change that.
No new blood needed. Kolbe and Moodie on the wings. Lethal. We gain on balance, especially if we are to ckick more which we will.

I predict:
Nche Marx Louw
de Jager Etzebeth
V Staden Wiese Mostert
William
Sash F M
de Allende
Jesse
Kolbe
Moodie
Wille Le Roux

What I would prefer:
Nche Marx Koch
Nortje Etzebeth
Wiese Roos v Staden
Williams
Pollard
de Allende
Jesse
Kolbe
Moodie
Sasha F M

Who knows,

Rassie has issues with Roos. Discipline or attitude or both. He is 100% the right guy to play at 8 if we are going to play much more narrow, which we no doubt will.

Mate, there is absolutely no way you can say that with a straight face when Bongi has been a cornerstone of Rassie's teams.
Bongi is 100% a team man. Totally committed to the cause. I am talking about attitude, thinking you are bigger than the team, sulking if not selected, poor attitude in training, getting on the piss, off-field drama, bringing personal drama, disruption etc etc.

Yes and discipline on field. Bongi has paid for it on more than one occasion by being summarily dropped.

Anyway this is going to be some game. Could to be wet. Boks will go back to a narrow physical game with pressure defense. No running up and down the tram lines throwing speculative passes. No 40-meter-wide hail Mary passes either. No third rucks with players carrying it up and getting isolated without cleaners behind them. Loose forwards will operate very close, and no hanging out on the wing playing Tonyball.

Tonyball will officialy be put on ice. Back to the trenches.

I think expecting some sort of overreaction from Rassie is not going to happen.

Of course we will revert more to type. We should have with a 20 point lead but kept swinging for the fences.
Overreaction is different to over coached.
Over coached is what Eddie Jones does to a team. Makes them afraid of playing and making mistakes.
I think you are right in saying the gameplan will revert to type. This is where the game gets interesting, when there are successive matches against a competent opposition. The Wallabies have now become competent. Hence the sense of excitement.

Heavyd

I suspect the Boks will be flogged this week for losing and come out breathing fire. If we can somehow beat them again it will be absolutely HUGE. I dare say a repeat victory by us will be remote, but I always live in hope. Go boys, make more history!
Lets hope Rassie does indeed flog them at training as they looked gassed last weekend and would love to see them carrying even heavier legs this weekend.

Uh huh

We all have our fans we'd rather disown. SA rugby twitter is a bin-fire, but that is not the mean.
On tiktok, most of the comments from SA fans are some combination of "the ref cheated us", "Rassie has a master plan and lost this match deliberately" and "it was DEFINITELY match-fixing". While I agree that we all have rubbish fans, this has been .....different.

My RA contact tells me off the back of the Wallaby heroics ticketek was a popular app on Sunday where 7500 tickets were snatched up for the Sydney 2pm test vs Pumas on 13 September! The band wagon rolls on! RA are confident of a near sellout should members take up their options.
I think Bledisloe is also set to sell out
