This is really excellent and fantastic news. Was hoping he would come back to Aus. Lineout throwing always let him down a little, but adds so much to a team. A great addition to the Tahs and Wallabies moving forward. Well done Super Dan

I’ve never seen him play 6 so it seemed to give Frans a go at 8. Talataina would be my 8 with Pete Samu at 6 and Gamble 7

I'm a fan of Adamson at 7 personally, so is there room for Gamble at 6? Might be a bit undersized.

I don’t like two 7s on a field. Doesn’t work unless you happen to have two world class ones.
If Gamble can show some of what he did v the Lions twice he’s the 7 when fit. Adamson a handy back up while you bring through a kid like Le Maître

He’s got pretty good footwork and lovey hands for a massive guy. Just needs a clear run injury wise. He should be the starting No 8.

He’s signed through to 2027 at Clermont I believe so seems very unlikely. He’ll then be a free agent at 32-33 with the next WC when he’s 36-37
He’s an unfortunate loss for RA as you’d think he’d be in Wallaby Squads if here right now.

Very unfortunate indeed. He's a rare 'Nonu' type, in that he can spend the whole game playing high impact rugby, trucking it up and wrecking fluffybunnys, but then he'll throw a glorious cut-out pass or peel off a 50/22. It took him most of his Brumbies career to find his feet, but in that last season he was superb.
You have to be quite something to push Tom Wright out of position to the wing.

Simone was a very good Super 12 player who is largely untested at international level. He is, however, a specialist 12, with play-making skills, who was good enough to get picked for the Wallabies. If we had him now, we'd have one of those.
