Super Rugby Oz Reds v Brumbies

Cracking game. It looked close to over at half time but the Brumbies came back firing and forced the Reds to go the full 80.

Latu looks like a great find, though he'll need to build up his fitness before he's super ready. Mclaughlin-Phillips concussion is a worry - there's no back up 10 in the squad (Campbell filled in), and with a 12 day stand down (if he is concussed) he'll be touch and go for the remaining rounds.

Nice the get the win but it's hard not to be impressed with the Brumby come-back (noting they were ably assisted by the Red Line-out).

Expect these sides to meet again in the final. After the dross served up by the Tahs and Force, I can't see either of them tossing the Reds or Brumbies.

Force getting two games at home after taking maximum points from the away game is the potential spanner in the works. I fear that trip west may be a bit more impactful for these sides, particularly the non-pros. But it would be very much against the odds on this weekend's evidence

Uh huh

Just got back (had to drop some mates home afterwards). My first ever game at Ballymore, thoroughly enjoyable. A couple of really entertaining tries, including one for each side off short kicks and regathers.

Update on flyhalf-watch: McLaughlin-Phillips looked good before going off. Meredith seemed to struggle at 10 but looked fabulous at 15 in the second half.
