The main qualification for RA CEO is be willing to to be paid way below the level of the high profile sports administrators in this country.

Which is why we get old boys who are doing it for reasons beyond the money

Really poor defense - Longergan missed more than half of his tackles! Toole and Potter and Bell and Tate poor too.
Is this the case though because he was the main rush defender?

It was the first time i recall seeing a wallabies defending always rushing to the 12 channel and whilst he missed a few tackles, he appeared to disrupt the attack enough to make it worth it

I actually think I’d rather see a kiwi appointed as the ref in NZ than that Piardi muppet. World Rugby have a lot of explaining to do. Jonker should be barred from officiating any game involving the Wallabies, he clearly either has money on the other team or just doesn’t like us, very obviously. And he gets rewarded with another gig next week. Give him something at the ARG/SAF game if they really must justify his employment, but I can understand they don’t want to waste money on an airfare for him.

That said, despite the officiating bias/incompetence we could have won that game if not for a few of our own errors, comfortably in fact. We are definitely on the rise, whether WR (World Rugby) (World Rugby) actually appoint some officials to allow us to realize that is another matter.
KOB, I fully agree about both Piardi and Junker, especially that inexcusable appointment of the TMO. I'm not so sure the Wallabies would have won except for their own errors but it certainly would have been a better contest for Aussie fans to see.

With 4m watching AFL Grand final 481k for Wallabies is very solid for a 3pm kick off. Given most diehard fans watch it on Stan or at the pub it’s pretty respectable. Next week in a better time slot & no other competition should be interesting.
It felt like there were 400,000 in the front bar of the Jubilee when trying to get a beer!

Lynagh is the most accurate kicker and sticks well to the structure. If he is fit and OK I’d start him with JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) on the bench. He will also have Skelton and Valetini back in the pack so likely we will have at least parity up front.
Disagree. JOC (James O'Connor) again to start. Edmed on the bench. Lynagh has not stood up. Needs a rest anyway.

Lonergan, rookie 9, you don't think they targeted him? Hey, I have an idea, Tupou to halfback, yeah that aught to fit your needs. Or maybe e McReight, hey that would work in your weird alternate rugby world. Both of them caused T/O on the back of making unexpected breaks under pressure that could have been big, but the support was too slow. Yeah, that's "crap".

Fuck me, talk about shitting on a debutant in a shit battle at Edan Park with a fuckwit ref (worse video officials), and holding to account the guy in a baptism of fire, who did really well. I'm going to repeat it, did really well.

JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) kicking was out. Other than that I see no reason he can't stick through to the RWC.

This group is going close to pushing the WBs back into the World Rugby top 5. Not there yet, but going close. A neon watching international rugby over the last 10 years aught to be flabbergasted at the turnaround.

you mean the 27 year old Super Rugby veteran (debuted 8 years ago!) who has captained his super rugby team and Australia A and been in and around the Wallabies for a few years? That rookie?

And I was shitting on him? I was pointing on the failings of a number of our players, he amongst them. Happy for you to accept such a poor performance by this team and hide behind blaming the ref. Lonergan sure showed some class but he he's hardly a doe-eyed school leaver who can blame nerves on some big errors.

But he’s just as error prone and just as inconsistent as he’s always been
He did some good stuff... Who do you start? Lynagh? He was error prone during the Lions series. Edmed. He was error prone v Argentina. Donno is out of the loop and has his errors too. There's no perfect 10 on our books. Recently though JOC (James O'Connor) did play well v the Boks.
