If R360 does get sanctioned by WR (World Rugby) then I'm not sure how RA will be able to justify blacklisting players signed to it when they've said they'll pick from anywhere. Makes more sense if it's a rebel league.

But lets say Mark Nawaqanitawase signs on for it (which seems a strong possibility given the timing), and kills it, would they really not pick him? Or just any big name who plays in it, does so well that they're widely considered one of the best in the world in their position, and clearly better than the next best Australian.

If the players aren’t made available during SH test windows it’s easily justifiable not to select them.

One person's "blacklisting" is another person's "not selecting them because their R360 team wont release them for our TRC games"

They state in their guidelines that players will be eligible for international duty. If the season starts in October you'd think they would be at least able to play in July-September internationals.

If they're not, they're in breach of R9 and will be a rebel league unsanctioned by WR (World Rugby) (World Rugby) anyways.

And yet Wallabies(and others) have struggled with Top League and Top14 clubs over this very issue without WR (World Rugby) saying shit.

This is a fair chance of still happening apparently - and won't be resolved until June 2026.

But I reckon we will be in a similar position to Top 14. The players will be theoretically fully available for international windows, but their contracted pay will be linked to being in camp with their R360 team. So it will be the player who declines selection, not the R360 club.

R360 just aren't going to pay 7 figures for SH players who miss 9 weeks of their 16 week season

They wouldn't miss any of the games in their season. Part of their pitch is that the season runs in two blocs in order to work around the July/Nov test windows and that of the 6Ns. The issue is that it doesn't seem to account for the RC.

Jesus, most of those locations...... it'll be like when they had Super Rugby games in Singapore in huge cavernous stadiums in front of about 300 bemused expats.

re; the player draft; I reckon they should go the opposite route to generate some tribalism. Total Player Power. Players get to choose their old teammates and who they want to play with

D.Paps, Akira and Most Hated Hoskins
Harry Plummer and Otere Black
Mark Telea
King Carlos and his son

yes agreed - that slug Gus Gould always talks about 'the other code' getting free press. They are almost as obsessed with it as the AFL.
It was the opening story on the rthe radio tonight. Also said RA are not overly enamoured about it.
So far we've had 10 players linked to R360 this week plus a whole stack of others saying they'd be interested.
love it

I'd be wary of getting too enthusiastic about the impact on NRL.

It's like laughing at the bloke next to you on the plane as it plummets to the ground. Nobody is getting out of this unscathed.
