With the Bled safe, good to see Wondercoach ring some changes in.

Although poor old Proctor out after having had his whole AB career reduced to having to hit rucks to compensate for playing outside the clanking undroppable dipshit Barrett brothers is a bit rough

With the youth and size of Lakai it wouldnt surpise me if thats the last look any of the other contenders get at the 8 jersey for the next 5 seasons

I think Tate's absence will be keenly felt. He's gone from strength to strength. His 60 minute feature on the wing in Lions 2 was incredible.
I don't know.....I think we saw again last weekend why he isn't a regular starter. Great footballer, but not that great a nine.

I'm being hypercritical here, but this is the sort of stuff that always happens when Tate starts. If I see it, the coaches do too.

We start the game with one of his poor box kicks that hands the ball straight back off the kick-off well inside Australia's half. We don't touch the ball again before a try.

Then he gets turned over after a half-break - ABs return the ball all the way back and kick the penalty (Tate misses a tackle off the quick tap)

Then just after 10 mins when the ABs go just about the length of the field for the Savea crawling try, Tate misses two tackles on the line. They aren't tackles that a half back would be expected to make necessarily, but still key.

Just after 15 mins, he throws two fairly poor passes pinning the recipient behind the ad-line, then has a snipe that goes nowhere - while he's trapped a the bottom of the ruck McReight steps in and throws a genuinly bad pass of the floor for a knock-on and turnover.

Two minutes later he leaves injured

He’s a far better off the bench. He’ll be missed.

A loss for the Wallabies this weekend would mean their longest ever losing streak over NZ. Last win was in 2020, lost the last 10 straight games

Wallabies simply need to win this weekend
Exactly, and this is an average AB team, so what would that say about us

I think the ABs will chance their arm a bit more in this one. D Mac with the Bled retained might let it rip which opens up opportunity for the Wallabies in turn.

Got to keep then under 21.

You've described every other game that Tate didn't start also. Just maybe it's a team issue?

Vaa'i out, Holland into XV & PatT stays on the bench. Knee injury obviously a bit more serious than first thought or at least reported.

Holland for Vaa'i isn’t that much of a downgrade @rugbyAU, bloke has 100-Test AB written all over him barring serious injury and/ or ridiculous Yen, Euros or Saudi money being thrown his way.
