Wallabies 2025

I always rated Kuenzle as a 10 too, his skillful enough and is big, which has worked against him in the 10 role. I recoken he'd been a 12 at the Brumbies now if he stayed. Probably pushing for the Wallabies too.

Interesting listening to the KOKO show interview with Slipper. Definitely reads like he'd happily play this Spring Tour but because Joe wants to focus on RWC'27 they've agreed (or Slips has been told) it's time to retire.

Also that his least fun season was the 2023 RWC campaign. From the training, stress, results etc. etc. Said it was awful and didn't want to return to rugby after that campaign. Fuck it sounded miserable.

Go ask Owen Finnegan what he thinks of him. Both bleed Myrtle as well.

Congrats though everyone. We're that hangry for some footy we're back on EJ (Eddie Jones) is a asshole chat.

I don't believe they ever saw eye to eye as player and coach but it stems from camps prior to the 2003 RWC and the fact Eddie was working the wider group in the lead up with everyone knowing selections were coming and some people miss out. That's the business of pro sport.

The part that caused friction was after the last session prior to squad selection Eddie didn't front up and tell players they hadn't made it but let them leave on the day then call them and say your'e not in. Seen as gutless which it is.

Since he has the capacity to show such disrespect, iv'e never felt remotely bad that he has at times faced toxic heckling.

This is one of many stories about Eddie.

The much discussed Wallaby 10 position. Rankings now.

1 Edmed
2 Gordon
3 JOC (James O'Connor)
4 Lynagh
5 Stewart
6 Donaldson

Donno must have some compromising photos of Schmidt!

I wonder if the dropping on Donaldson has some similarities to Wilson not being selected to tour a year or so ago. Hopefully he has been given clear work ons and opportunity to do so with a full Super Rugby preseason

Joe's come out and said his given him clear work ons. And it's around defensive organisation, (this does not mean tackling). I guess with Tom Wright gone the 5/8s are getting the D in order from the back and they don't think his very good at it.

I know we bang on about our injury list but I don't really think it's that extraordinary, more that we have no depth and injuries are more keenly felt.

Check out this injury list from France, who we play in a month:
Antoine Dupont, François Cros, Peato Mauvaka, Uini Atonio, Yoram Moefana, Gabin Villière, Théo Attissogbé, Jonathan Danty, Pierre Bourgarit and Joshua Brennan.

That's their best scrumhalf and captain, best and 3rd best hooker, best prop, best inside and outside centre and then a bunch of bench players too. We'd be spewing if we had that list.

In other news, we could have a chance against them.
