Ireland v Wallabies, Saturday 15/11 (Sunday morning Aus time)

40mins of decent rugby followed by a dire second half.

Definitely felt like Schmidt threw the toys outta the cot once Frost got binned, emptied the last bench spots, conceded defeat and the boys just let Ireland absolutely smoke us to finish.

Pretty disappointing.

Ireland are good and we were always up against it but whatever Schmidt is doing or saying ain’t cutting it. I would run Thomas next week because we’re not gonna win anyways. And then honestly I would farewell Schmidt and run with Kiss after the SRP (Super Rugby Pacific). Joe’s done some good things but what’s the point of him sticking around when the players and team ain’t improving.

what good has he done

- record loss v Ireland
- likely first winless EOYT and first time losing 10 in a year
- worst losing % of all time
- record points conceded last year v Arg
- loss v Italy

Isn’t that the plan? I thought this series was Schmidt last dance.

I said it last week but this whole transition period has been a balls up from RA. They bent over backwards to keep Schmidt and ever since he’s extended all we have done is roll out increasingly shit performances.

We aren’t going to make any good ones ourselves

Now careful there - you'll have the entire Old Boys of St Simian's School for Being Very Private down here to tell you what a sterling job their first XV did to win the title this year over Duke Frumpington College For BMW 5 Series Drivers.

They would come here for the living conditions. That’s why we have so many out here already.

I took from the post that that they're not talking about families moving here as kids - they're talking guys who are potential Test match players.

Which every kid is in Australia, or soon will be as rugby continues to sink

I think we could think outside the box a bit for 10. Jorgo or Wright or who knows. No easy fix but better than what we have at the moment. 9 as well such a glaring disparity between what we have and other nations.

I don’t get our gameplan though- it just feels like it has fallen off a quick. When Joe says tired, is he thinking of himself?

Just abysmal.

there’s an attitude thing happening here. Peter Horne needs to step up here because this is a massive high performance failure.

they had so much public support earlier this year but it’s been obliterated. We are back to being an irrelevant and easily ignored sport and team again. There was such an opportunity.

Schmidt still trying to call positives
Just be up front and say we were shit
Set piece was crap
High ball was non existent
We don’t have a decent 9 or 10
You could pull 30 halves from the nrl and they would do a better job

I like to joke about private schools of course, but I'll admit they develop some fabulous players.

Most of whom are only in that private school because of NRL agents, play a couple of years of schoolboy rugby, then go play NRL.

Could have been worse to
We only just beat Fiji, Argentina and Japan as well by a few points otherwise could have been more losses

I’d say it’s about 20% it’s just a similar thing to players going overseas. We build them up extra once gone.

Would Toby Rudolph make the Wallabies better? No but Rugby has fumbled guys like JWH and Angus Chrichton who were Rugby and poached.
