Swain was called in after LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and Canham both went off during the Japan test...

Hooper then joined the squad after the English test, and Canham has most likely since recovered from the head knock.

So assume Stewart comes onto the bench?
That's Christie's take

Despite Joe Schmidt playing down Gordon’s injury at his team announcement, The Roar understands the 23-year-old is set to be ruled out of the Wallabies’ final Test of the year and replaced by Tane Edmed in the starting side.

Western Force inside back Hamish Stewart, who is more at home in the midfield, will come onto the bench and cover Edmed should Gordon indeed be scratched.

Genuinely, what would we do without Christie/The Roar. Like him or not, he's the only person putting this info out there. Rugby would just about disappear while Wallabies are on tour without him.
He's great but Drennan has been doing a good job with the SMH too, as the only Aus journo who flew over

Punting JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) when he could have just stayed in camp for 1 more week is really coming back to haunt Schmidt. It's actual amateur hour stuff. He should answer a "please explain" from RA.
When asked about it in his press conference, Schmidt said it would have been nice to have him stay in the squad as if he wasn't the one who dropped him

Christy's call of Carter's scratching seems a little pre-emptive and circumspect. Any actual hard evidence? Noting when he announced it was midnight France time.

“It would have been great to keep James with us, but with Carter and Tane, and Hamish there to cover, it was an extra player that would have been a luxury,” Schmidt said.

“I was pretty keen for him to feel comfortable. He’s only just settling into Leicester and talking to James this morning, he said there’s been a bit of a nice blue sky there, and he’s back with the intent to keep building his game.
