Carter picking up injuries at this stage really isn't surprising, he had a year where he was laid up in bed and not training for large stretches, and then when you can train, you're potentially training around those injuries. Biomechanically, the residual effects of serious injuries can take anywhere up take 12-18months to get over & rectify those imbalances.
