Thanks. I'm predicting Uni to play Easts and Eastwood to play Manly. I can't see West Harbour or Randwick getting up in their matches. And to answer your question, I think Uni will be third time lucky against Easts.

IL2W...you're right, I havent seen a great deal of them this year. And you are also right that its most likely Donlan will play higher grades, but IMHO I think that is only because of his dodgy reputation from a private school. I wont dis here publicly either, but am happy to send you PM if you wish
Do you seriously think that a grade coach gives a stuff which school a player attended when he's selecting a team ?

After watching Manly defeat Randwick pretty easily on Saturday and noting that Gordon have defeated both Randwick and West Harbour in the last two rounds I think you are right.

Lindommer - you are our Pirates man - any comments on the game v Gordon? My contacts say that once the Pirates pack was neutralised the Gordon backs ran riot with a number of long range tries?

Manly were solid all over park - Wicks were in front until 60 minute mark then were beaten out wide with a few soft tries. Wicks forwards were strong and they probably lost it in the backs. manly wont be classy enough to beat Uni in the GF is my tip. The score of this game probably flattered the victors given they trailed for 3/4's of the game. The Wicks might improve if the get some players back from injury and a few players that have been out , come back into form.

Uppers, you obviously haven't checked the Southern Inland Rugby thread today.

Eastwood to go over the Pirates and set up a clash with Manly. This one should be a good one. The Woodies will want revenge over the Pirates from last year, and the clash with Manly will be a cracker.

Randwick to surprise? Easts, and set up a clash with Uni.

I thinka Manly-Uni final, with Manly scraping past!

55-3 to the Woodies, wasn't even close. The Pirates' Colts have been a bit weak in the backs all through the Colts teams this year, and it's bitten us on the arse at the tail end of the season. I dunno: too many blokes watch/play mungoball, poor tackling, too much one out running, no ensemble play using fellow backs. Something we have to address next year.

HOWEVER, the Pirates IIs came away with a good win over Manly after getting clobbered by the same team a few weeks ago. And the Pirates IIIs play tomorrow. Against Uni. Specials.

Score was actually 62-3. Wests blown off park in every respect except the scrum where they probably were marginally better.

Woods forwards all over pirates in general play. Any suggestion that a pirate forward would make a colts team of the year is absurd. Done like dinners, just as I predicted. The worst coached side in colts.

WH Colts I never looked like a side that would challenge for the premiership so no surprise that Eastwood blew them away.
