What are the Force doing at the breakdown? 5 metres out from the Stormers line, Pocock believes the ball is there to be turned over so he goes in, the reaction from the rest of the Force players?... to wander away from the ruck and stand in an already crowded defensive line out by the touchline.

The Force deserve their place in the standings on this performance. It's going to take more than Genia to turn them around for next year. Their work at the breakdown has been mystifying. At times when another guy into the ruck would have secured turn over in the red zone then all stand back and watch Pocock try to do it on his own. Then where there's an easy turn over they pile in 6 or 7 guys limiting their options in attack to a punt from the scrum half with no real chase.
This needs to be sorted out, players at this level should have some idea when to go in to the rucks and when to stay in the line.

They competed pretty well.
The backline just isn't at a professional level. They looked like amateurs playing against pros. The backs were absolute rubbish...can't catch, pass, kick, tackle or run straight.......have no idea how to create space, have no idea how to run lines......
It must be depressing looking up from a scrum or ruck and seeing the Force backline wondering what to do with the ball..........and watching another aimless kick

Loved the game tonight. Wet weather, soaked through, beers kept dry, different experience, could have been at the old Athletic Park in Wellington minus the wind. Bloody Habana got his intercept try as usual, couple of fights.....didn't I predict this earlier in the week. Couple of missed opportunities out wide.....Stanley kept the ball with Nalaga clear on the outside. Naps will go down as the biggest S15 bust....probably score 15 tries for Clermont next year.

Just got home. The Force played dumb rugby. Usually you scream when they play with no depth in the backline, but on the perfect night to play one out runners close to the ruck, they spend all night trying to run on to it from depth and swing it wide.
The Stormers didn't play all that much better, but they have the belief they can win and work better as a whole team. Deserved winners.
Anyway, it was still fun. Poor old Dave Harvey was a bloody mess from that boot to the head. He came over to where we were hanging over the fence at the end and he was hobbling on the ankle and had a golf ball size shiner on his left cheek. I'm surprised he lasted 60 minutes.

Bloody awful night for it, but at least my boy was a trooper in the wet. Didn't complain once, other than being a little cold.

Does it really matter. Noone was anywhere near him. Complaining over something like that is a waste of time. He could have easily placed the ball delicately over the line given how much time and space he had. It's a non-issue.
As shitty as the Force's attack was tonight, the Stormers were only able to score of an intercept and a turnover. They were almost as poor on attack as the Force were. The Stormers were deserving winners but 14 points definitely flatters them.

I wasn't complaining - just asking the question because at the time of my post they hadn't gone back and done the replays that show it as being butchered. I thought I saw something but wasn't sure, so I asked the question.
But to say, does it really matter, well that opens a whole can of worms.
We'll never know if it mattered. What if that try was after full time and for the win? Would it have mattered then? Of course it would! Rules are rules and that was a no-try. Simple. Considering that the Stormers were struggling to score and didn't get any points other that that try until they slotted a penalty early in the second half. Force leading at half time, Stormers with no points. It could have been an entirely different affair. As I said, we'll never know.
