My instinct (probably irrational) at the time was that it was not going to be awarded.

well, that actually made it rational!

should have been awarded tho, wonder if pollock would have awarded it? Let the on filed ref decide, just put it on the screen so he can make that decision like he does all other decisions in the game.

Having Googled him he may be used to playing to a solely NZ audience - really no excuse for getting that so completely wrong
Willie Lose is usually commentating all round the world as he one of main Commentators on 7's circuit. Though not sure that makes much difference to making a mistake in calling Nic White as Mogg, but sure does happen a lot with all commentators, drives me crazy for about 5 seconds until I realise, especially comments men on sideline are in worst place of all to see which player is which on most parts of field, one of reasons I don't like sitting at ground level at big games, easier to see from a bit of height.

Yep,I was also a bit surprised that Gears try wasn't given with benefit of slo mo replay, but I also thought I read somehwhere, that TMOs only watch replays on small TV, wonder if that is part of it. Anyway that is all part of helping to keep us all slightly frustrated???

Its not the identity that worried me (I hadnt picked up that it wasnt Mogg) its the unqualified assertion that he was not just off side he was 5m offside.
He was at worst in line with the kicker.

Why isn't there a emoticon of something necking a bottle of scotch, snorting a huge line of speed and trashing the ARU headquarters ?

Oh, it's the ARU's fault again. Actually, it has always been pretty obvious that Smith would be required to return to Japan because of his contractual obligations. It is sad in a way, but no doubt he will be crying all the way to the bank.

Eddie Jones seems to think that Suntory will oblige if the ARU want him.........

Scott Fardy played 19 not Fainga'a right?

Thought Carter was excellent, a real pest in a good way. To'omua's best game as well.

Fardy is in Canberra, Colby was in the 19, and had an awesome run off the bench. I'll watch the game again tomorrow and count how many tackles he made in the last 15mins, but I reckon was around 15.

The thing I really liked about the Brumbies was their attitude in defence. Not specifically their tackling, but their attitude and effort to get up and get back into the line.

I wish the Tahs would show the same attitude

I noticed too, he seemed very busy. 12 minutes for 13 tackles according to Foxsports.

Is this the week the highlanders click? Hope not for the Brumbies sake.

Will Adam Thomson be playing? If the answer is no then they won't be clicking. Often the difference between all of the attacking plays clicking into a try is control of the ruck which Aaron Smith isn't getting

Adam Thomson is playing in Japan.

I bet you $100 the Brumbies win this game by 1-12 points. You can name your odds.
