Is that 'Standard Tell The Aussies What's Wrong With Them Post' number one or two? If you read the thread first, you can edit out the stuff that makes you look silly, like the jibe about the reffing.

whats silly is listening to you guys talking yourselves up again and again to only get thumped

really just going on what i have read on other threads on here, maybe you guys should start listening more to us kiwi's then, we know how to play the game we know what it takes but aussie pride is too strong, shit e even gave you deans but you guys wouldn't bloody listen to him, now you have your so called messiah, what was the result again, all week we have heard over here how you guys are gonna beat us the new era, what was the score again, sick and tired of the way you guys and the media over there talk yourselves up its pretty bloody funny
So, is that number two? Although, with punctuation, it might actually be the same as one.
Basically 'We're Kiwis and we're farkin' awesome, eh, bro, and you Ozzies are just shite, and lucky I'm here to tell you?'
If that's it, take your shit elsewhere, as we really don't need it here.

Geez Crazy, there is a difference between playing the Devil's advocate and the village idiot, perhaps you should try and make sure you choose correctly!!!

Has anyone blamed the ref?

It hasn't been too bad really. Dwyer had a good go as he always does, but even his effort was poor for his usual lofty standards. None of the knowledgeable posters have made much noise about him though. The main reason for that is that Joubert was actually very good. He got both sides when they infringed and I think made a reasonable first fist of the new scrums.

Probably the only major thing that went wrong was the ball that went through the scrum, though I haven't yet seen a definitive replay that showed it coming out in front of the Kiwi LH prop's foot rather than behind it. The AR was right there, so in the absence of a definitive replay I am not quite ready to say it was a critical error. In any case, the only reason we had a scrum there was because the Wallabies couldn't clear the ball from the previous scrum in the same place and ended up with a hell of a mess and a weak kick into touch. Frankly, even if that scrum had been reset I wouldn't have bet against the All Blacks scoring pretty soon after anyway.

As for the Wallabies, they simply need to commit more at the breakdowns. They weren't putting enough players in at key times and they hardly ever got clean ball for Genia to use. Conversely, they hardly ever prevented the AB's from getting good clean ball. T/R/M's were 102 - 65 in favour of the Wallabies which is a very good indication that although the Wallabies had a good amount of it, their quality of ball was rubbish. Quality of ball is more important these days than quantity. Mogg was awful, but apart from that the fault lay not in the backs, but in the forwards.

I thought the Wallabies might be quite competitive but no, they were weak and unimaginative again. What do you expect though? New coach, new players, a new era? Rome wasn't built in a day, but it seems many people expect the Wallabies to beat the best team in the world straight up. Give them time and maybe they will get it sorted. And give Folau the ball ffs. (Just curious, I'm a kiwi so do i get banned now?)

No KL, we are all friends here. Just continue with reasoned, balanced discussion and she'll be right.

I doubt you'd get banned for that KiwiLogic.

Stick around a while and you'll find most of the guys here are pretty decent and have good rugby heads.

They just don't like condescending dickheads too much.

I often think of it like a real rugby game - we all know that we'll play our guts out for the team we're playing for but most of us are keen to have a beer together afterwards and a good laugh - as long as you weren't too much of a prick during the game :)

Not at all.
Welcome aboard.
I think the optimism of a new era will be quickly tempered by the fact there is much to do. I saw some good signs in Wallaby play, after watching a second time on TV, but we Wallaby fans are going to need some patience.

I actually think the wobs played pretty positive football. The main difference being kiwis capitalised on our mistakes and we didnt (except for Genia's try)

The majority of the game it was pretty tight and i think the scoreline is an inaccurate reflection of how close the game actually was. Eliminate the silly (& costly) mistakes and it would have been a much better game - The better team won on the day.
