I'd suggest that Mowen wouldn't be in the starting XV if Pocock and Higgers were fit, but he is next cab off the rank so is rightly in the side IMO. He has looked lethargic the last 2 tests.
The Wallaby attack just seems unorganised to my eye. Guys to slow to get back in position, players aligning next to each other not knowing what they are going to do or how they are going to react.
But I'm not overly surprised by that given you basically have a brand new midfield combination and a very green 1st 5. The ABs have our most capped midfield combo and tonight had a 1st 5 that plays very similar (and has played alot with) to our first choice 10. Our 7 and 8 work in tandem so much it is very good to watch whereas I've seen Hooper make some very good plays but lacked that support from his loose trio team mates.
I liked the aggression from the Wallabies, I liked that they really pushed the offside line and played on (and over) the edge - and got away with a lot - but it all availed to very little because of the lack of cohesion in attack.
Good luck to the Wallabies against the Boks. I'll have a slight cheer for them if they play some better footy.
