Quick Hands

David Wilson (68)
Great win by the Marlins and what a crowd on a bitterly cold afternoon. The fingers have just thawed out to type. A day for a hip flask of Brandy rather than a beer. ;)

I was very impressed by Jones on the wing for the Rats.

I've only ever seen this kid play once and that was in the reserve grade fixture v Parramatta a couple of weeks ago. But his involvements were good, verging on ominous, and his talk was excellent. I'd like to see him play again.

Inside Shoulder

Nathan Sharpe (72)
Good game by Jones.
Has been doubted for his defence in the past. His technique was a lot better today than in schoolboys.
His "reads" are a bit haphazard in that he doesn't always know when to come in and stay out but i reckon playing with an older settled back line will iron that out.

What do you put the crowd at?

Seems to panic a bit.
Once he believes he is up to it,I think he will be much better.
Not too shabby with the ball in his hands,no self doubt there!
Did some really good things today.

Kudos to the Marlins though.
And haven't they got some depth!
Sam V went well when he came on.
And having Swanapoel and Hingano coming off the bench at this time of the year, wow!

IIRC, this lad has been mentioned on the thread which dare not speak its name and other schoolboy threads.

Very impressive 1st grade debut 1st year out of school.

Well if he was mentioned in that thread it was ill informed.
2 years Oz schools with a few alleged attitude issues would be my summary.

I remember now, did he move schools because TKS dropped him after he played in club semi-final or final and end up at Barker?

Regardless, he's one for the future.

Yes Sammy V seems to have so much time.
Saw Sam Lane down there as well could he be coming back?
Hingano caused some real damage when he came on.
Few injuries to the front row, would like to see some of the injured start returning.
