I said nothing about Wallace been appointed as Aussie coach, I was just pointing out that TSS were trying to promote their boys. That they could play several positions and therefore if you don't like me here, try me there.

Fair enough - not trying to pick a fight - good luck if you have boys in the trials

Interesting you say that, I believe last year in 16s white he was selected to play fullback and wore the 15 rather than the 10 and from video footage when he came on was the difference in the team, a dynamic runner with ball in hand. Mike Wallace is a man who knows his rugby I wouldn't be surprised if we see Tyler playing 12 at some stage of the season. His defence is second to none in the comp.

Geez, you're really pushing the Campbell barrow aren't you? He's younger than many of the other boys, I'm sure he'll get his opportunity at some stage.

Agreed. Horan stands on his own merits, nothing to do with who his dad is. The 'riding on ther father's shirt tails' sounds more like a disgruntled parent to me
I think Horan is a very talented player, never mentioned him. Unfortunately no I am not a disgruntled parent. Not saying Campbell would make Queensland but on form should've got a second invite. Only time will tell. There are many other talented and in form players that missed out just would like to see trials used for what they are 'to select the best players at time of trial' My son has made the second trial so I'll be watching on Saturday.

I'm very glad for you that your son has made the 2nd round. Not sure how you know there are so many talented players who missed out, but in saying that you're belittling those boys who have been chosen. I'm sure everyone on this forum has their opinions over who should or shouldn't have made the 2nd cut, but unless you're a selector, or know one personally, I doubt you really know what they are looking for. Obviously most of the boys who played in the trials last week are at the top of their game for the respective schools, and your comments sound like sour grapes from a TSS parent. Apologies if that's not the case. Looking forward to seeing some great talent at tomorrow's trials.

Word form GT Training this week

Leofa is training at prop with the seconds and I would say if the season started this weekend that is where he would be selected - still 6 weeks and a few trials to improve that fitness - he does look good with ball in hand

Wall looks to have the inside running for the half spot, not sure who the hooker was but McMahon seems to be with 2nds but may have a niggle or two.

Roycroft and Te-rupe looking very slick and I think Roycroft might overshadow some bigger names as the season progresses.

Horans fitness and strength is outstanding.

Not a TSS parent, but yes I suppose it does come across that way. Most definitely will be a great game. Can't wait for the season to start officially. I'm pick BBC to come out on top this year. It's a shame many loyal boys have missed out on first XV but that's the fickleness of the game.

Sorry...not TSS? My instincts are off, they're usually pretty good. Not sure about loyal boys missing out on First XV, from what I can see there is still quite a few trial games to be played before positions are cemented for most schools. Don't know about your son's. Anything can happen over the next 6 weeks or so. Brave man picking BBC this early out, wasn't it supposed to be TSS's year in 2013? Anything can happen over the GPS season, as we've clearly seen.

Spot on.
Remember last year TSS got eight(yes-8) in Qld teams and still did not win GPS.
BBC will find a way to shoot itself in foot -it's track record is good at that:
1)2012 -5 Rep players all injured.Captain did not play a game & 2 Aussie schoolboys play a total of 4 games;
2)2013 Aussie schoolboy expelled & star recruit lasts 2 weeks.

BraveandGame get your facts straight the teams last night were a mix of the firsts and seconds just to add a bit of competition. Me mate Tim McMahon is in great form this week and will make the firsts hands down.

Sorry didn't mean to mislead - and on reflection see the problem should have said seemed to be - I was merely stating I did not know the hooker and McMahon seemed to be sitting out the tough stuff at any rate - hand injury??? - I was not referring to specifically last night as I did not see the session myself.

mr pls

Can anybody clear up this confusion/trolling and name the current 1st team for GT. Kyle Leofa going from QLD captain to 2nds this just shows how important fitness is.

I never said Leofa was IN the seconds, I said he was running with the seconds and I don't think the coaches are happy with where his fitness is at - he'll be there in round one as I am sure the work will be done.

He has all the skills and hits like a truck.

I would say the team is as advertised here with maybe 1 or 2 contentious positions.
