Wilkinson's Right Boot

Long time reader, first time poster: I'm willing to bet a case of Tooheys New that $cotts have at least 13 people in their squad that are on Bursaries of some description. Prove me wrong, and the case is yours. All of you $Scots apologists have clearly been drinking too much from Scots' Kool Aid.

Check out Brumby Jack the 1st's post a couple of pages back. List of 7 or 8 kids known to have been at the school since year 7, thus probably unlikely to have been scouted and given bursaries for their sporting prowess.

someone has evidently trimmed the mulberry bush......either that or we're in the hadron collider - check out the pages in between debasing the myth that this is a reliable guide to the issue.

I'm starting to think that this thread can be run on the numbers.
If we all go back and choose post #s from the past we can save each other the trouble of formulating new posts and arguments.
My #3133 will see your #2045 and raise you a #4782

Our Punxsutawney Phill for this trip is TipTopFacts.
When they delete your post out there in the GGR world - let it stay deleted.
HJ and Cyclo will hunt you down for insubordination.
But over here in the Julian Assange ward almost any random thought is tolerated.
Beware.
You can check out any time you like

If there are a couple of star players "down" in the 3rds competition, then I don't anticipate that their opponents would have too much drama playing against those players, provided they are there because they have made a conscious decision to play 3rds rugby for time management reasons. People seem to get a little fractious when they face an entire team of superstars.

1st XV coaches can be temperamental beasts sometimes. I recall a lad (NSW Schools rep) who was dropped from TKS 1st XV to 4th XV because he wanted to play for his village club team in the Under 17 Grand Final on Sunday - after the 1st XV game.

That taught the lad a very valuable lesson with some unintended consequences for TKS. Absolute superstar for Barker the following year, and has been doing rather well in 2nd Grade/occasional First Grade Shute Shield in his first year out of school. Yep, they certainly taught that lad a thing or two at TKS. The lad was paying full freight at both schools (in case anyone asks).

You had me going HJ - I was thinking where is this lesson they taught him?
Started at Sydney Grammar School, as a matter of interest.

Very interesting story there, although in comparison with the star players of the $cot$ 3rdXV reports and team lists have shown Madokks completely missing out of all squads?? any info there?

It's spelt Maddocks.

Seemingly the family want the lad to spend most of his spare time studying, and hanging around like a teenager should, not spending every spare moment training for footy. Seems reasonable. Plenty of time after graduation to play footy.

After Banjo Patterson, it was all downhill.

that puts you lower down the hill than me, although it ignores the first president (?) of the Southern RU and our first PM. Johnnie Wallace, Alec (get that HJ? - snuck that past the missus) Ross, Col Windon & others.
Anyway enough of this frivolity - to the ramparts: dragons to slay!

We've missed the Shore boatshed this time around but we've now brought James Ruse AHS into proceedings as well as the little frolic into leadership.

More red herrings than a Scottish fishing fleet.:)

If you were offering a better beer, I might be bothered to type out a post describing how wrong you are.

You were a better long term reader than writer...
