Rumours that Zebo has dropped out of the Irish squad, shame if true but Schmidt doesn't really seem to like proper wingers who score tries and sees them as auxillary loosies/ flankers. It could mean two full backs in the Irish back three. Irish team could well look something like this,

1 McGrath.
2 Best
3 Ross
4 Toner
5 O'Connell
6 O'Mahony
7 Ruddock
8 Heaslip
9 Murray
10 Sexton
11 Jones
12 D'Arcy
13 Henshaw
14 Bowe
15 Kearney
16 Cronin
17 Kilcoyne
18 Ah You
19 Foley
20 O'Donnell
21 Reddan
22 Madigan
23 A.N Other (probably another full back)

Is that Genia in a white vest? It also look to be McCalman in the background as a non-vester, so read zero into it!
This pic is from the Australian this morning but the article is talking about Genia/Cooper being injected off the bench

If he loses the next two tests and then has to face the real possibility of losses to the ABs and Saffas next year, there could well be wide spread calls for Cheika to go. But I wouldn't like to lose Larkham from the Brumbies for a year or two more.

I'm beginning to expect that. Despite the fact that it's absolutely ludicrous to think that Cheika isn't the best coach we can have right now.

Personally I think after Link and Cheika, two modern, current, successful coaches, the Wallabies can't go anywhere but backwards.

They are the two present coaches to taste success as coach in Super rugby and are the best options atm. Just surmising what might happen given the current status of their game under Cheika and the schedule of test matches coming up next year. If the Wallabies go down in these next two tests, we could be going into the RWC without another win under the belt, and possibly ranked in the 5 - 10 range somewhere. That would be ugly.

On the other hand, two more wins on the EOYT might just set the team up for a successful RC next year and who knows what might happen with that sort of momentum.

These two tests are crucial to the Wallabies and to Cheika as coach.

ATM Chek is running about average with Deans and Mckenzie - 1 outa 2 -

by my reckoning and I checked with my accountant, thats a 50% win ratio. For those argumentaive pricks out there it probably means a 50% losing ratio as well......

If the Wallabies can beat England next week I'd put this tour down as a big success (having beaten the two teams that will be in our pool next year).

Realistically I think we should expect to win one of our two remaining games and we should be the Springboks at Suncorp next year.

This weekend's game is very important. Last year we were able to take the wind out of the crowd's sail by scoring tries. We need the same this year. If it turns into the tight low scoring contest I could see home ground advantage getting the Irish over the line.

At least this year Genia won't be doing his shitty box kicks, one of which resulted in a converted try to England. We then lost the game.

Also think very important to win both games, from a momentum point of view.

However, always being the eternal optimist 2 losses will only increase the betting odds for Australia at RWC

If Speight doesn't get a cap this tour I will be very pissed off.

Well he had 1 chance and sorta blew it. I am sure his cap will be this week.
I just hope he shows the form of the past 3 years this Saturday

I think everyone acknowledges that on form he will have 1 wing spot sewn up. On form is the operative phrase.

He hardly blew it. From returning from a hamstring injury it was actually a pretty solid performance. Not outstanding, what I would call an average game, but not poor.

Plus it's not like our current wingers are setting the world alight at the moment. They have been far from outstanding the last 2 games too.

I think Speight is going to be named in the team announced today, but it's a leap to suggest he demands selection right now.

He was average against the Barbarians in a game where both incumbent test wingers were rested and the other winger outplayed him. Of course he's only just returning from injury but that doesn't give him a free pass.

Contrast it to say Sean McMahon who had a blinder and benefited also from having the two players ahead of him (Fardy and Higginbotham) injured.

I think everyone wants him in the team sooner rather than later but there's no point rushing a guy in who was clearly short of a run when there needs to be a solid reason to drop the players ahead of him.

FFS BH how many times do I need to tell you there's no place for rational, common sense arguments like yours on this forum.

Good luck with that. From memory it's one of the dry states, unless that's changed recently.

Probably try to find somewhere that has an OSN feed. Out of Dubai and has most games in HD. As always bigger hotels would be the best bet.
Dry!!!!! Thanks for the tip anyway.
